SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

– The next edition of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s WWE Network podcast will be this Monday after Raw. Austin’s guest will be Big Show.

Monday’s Raw takes place in Anaheim, Calif., which is within driving range of Austin’s second home in the Los Angeles area.

– Austin was in Pennsylvania on Wednesday for an appearance at the “Great American Outdoor Show.” Austin was there to represent Kawasaki Motors after making a day-long trek across the country from Los Angeles.

Austin talked to the local ABC news station about this week’s big story of Daniel Bryan retiring from injury, which Austin can relate to, although Austin has not officially retired.

“It’s a hard pill to swallow when you have to walk away from something that you truly love,” Austin said. “That’s a guy who worked his tail off and the system was against him, he wasn’t the guy that was the chosen one. And because the fans believed so much in him, they had to make him the chosen one.”

“It’s like Paul Orndorff, Mr. Wonderful, told me a long time ago when he had to retire. He said ‘Steve, there is life after wrestling.’ And I said, ‘There is?’ and he goes ‘Yes, there is,” Austin said.

Austin also offered his latest comments on not planning to be involved in anything storyline-related for WrestleMania 32 in his home state of Texas unless it makes sense.

“As far as the storyline goes, if it’s not something that really makes sense, if it’s not something that’s really good or has an impact, it’s not worth doing,” Austin said.
