SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

TORCH TODAY – Sunday, February 14, 2016

– EVENTS CENTER: WWE wraps their weekend tour Sunday afternoon in Bakersfield, Calif. with A.J. Styles and Chris Jericho on the tour. It’s a 1:00 p.m. show to avoid going head-to-head with Valentine’s Day dinner plans. (REPORT WANTED to pwtorch@gmail.com)

– WWE Diva Becky Lynch, who is on the California WWE tour, attended Friday’s PWG show in Reseda.

– Fellow Diva Rosa Mendes gave birth to a baby girl named Jordan. Rosa and her fiancee, Bobby Schubenski, welcomed Jordan this weekend. Rosa noted to E!, which airs the “Total Divas” show, that her WWE career “will be on hold for a little bit.”

Cody Rhodes crashed Stephen Amell’s appearance at the Dallas Comic-Con on Saturday to continue their feud. Rhodes, who was dressed in-character as Stardust, threw water in Amell’s face after running off the moderator.

– There are plenty of items from WWE’s 10-K filing that followed their quarterly and year-end report on Thursday. We’ll have reports on the big items in the next 24 hours. One item to keep an eye out in 2016 is the ongoing legal issue involving former pro wrestlers who sued over concussions. WWE noted in their 10-K that the next important date is June 1 when discovery is to be completed. Motions are scheduled to be filed on August 1. WWE is maintaining their position that the “claims and threats” against WWE are “without merit.”

– WWE legend Mick Foley recently traveled to California for a stand-up comedy tour. Foley talked to the “Why Didn’t They Laugh” podcast after one of his shows at the Hollywood Improv.

– ROH star Adam Cole says he thought he would be in WWE by now, but he is fully committed to advancing Ring of Honor forward. “If you were to ask me two or three years ago, I would say I definitely want to end up in WWE,” Cole told reporter Scott Fishman for Channel Guide Magazine. “There is no doubt that is where I want to go and end up.

“However, over the years and the leaps we’ve made as a company is something I’m really proud of. I’m happy I got to be at the forefront of that whole thing. Wrestling has gotten crazy lately in that guys can really make comfortable, good livings outside of WWE. I’m going to be with Ring of Honor for a while. So I’m focused on making ROH the best company it can be.”
