SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

WWE is looking to build their next “recruiting class” of recognizable independent wrestlers and international talent.

Over the weekend, WWE held their latest try-out at the Performance Center in Florida.

PWTorch has learned that independent wrestlers Cedric Alexander and Anthony Nese were included in the try-out. Alexander is most known for Ring of Honor, while Nese is most known for WWNLive.

Deonna Purrazzo, who has sporadically appeared on NXT television as an enhancement wrestler in the women’s division, also received an official try-out, as first reported by SquaredCircleSirens and confirmed by PWTorch.

WWE is looking to stockpile as much talent as possible, especially as they pursue a full-time schedule in 2016 requiring wrestlers at “home” in Florida and “on the road” across the country and world.

It has led to ROH trying to sign wrestlers to exclusive contracts and WWNLive to partner with WWE’s NXT brand.
