Kurt Angle on “Duck Dynasty” Recap
Aired February 17, 2016 on A&E

Kurt Angle appeared on Wednesday night’s edition of the popular family-reality show centered on the Robertson brothers in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Angle was featured throughout the episode as part of the second main story of this week’s show.

The set-up was main brother Willie and supporting character brother Jep deciding to renew their wrestling battles from childhood. In the mix was Jep’s little son River wanting to get some wrestling training.

Angle was introduced at the West Monroe High School gym for a bit centered on Jep being too big a fan of Angle, embarrassing Willie.

Angle, who was with TNA at the time of the taping, was identified more for his amateur wrestling accomplishments than pro wrestling career, setting up Angle trying to train River on amateur wrestling while Jep continued to interrupt wanting to ask him fan questions.

Angle eventually set up a match between Willie and Jep for their old “tinfoil title belt.” The set-up was an amateur wrestling match, but Willie said just before the start that he wanted it to be “pro style,” as in pro wrestling. This led to River doing a pro wrestling run-in kicking Willie in the shin, allowing Jep to pin Willie, as counted by Angle.

Angle was a solid addition to the ongoing battles and competitions between the Robertson brothers that seem to make up every episode. Angle’s speaking lines were mainly in response to the brothers’s silliness.
