WWE Fast Lane PPV News & Notes 2/21

– Roman Reigns is the new #1 contender to the WWE World Title after winning a three-way match against Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar. Reigns pinned Ambrose with a spear after Ambrose took out Lesnar.

The PPV closed with WWE World Hvt. champion Triple H confronting Reigns to set up their WWE Title match at WrestleMania 32.

– All champions held onto their title gold. Kevin Owens retained the Intercontinental Title over Dolph Ziggler, Charlotte retained the Divas Title over Brie Bella, and Kalisto retained the U.S. Title over Alberto Del Rio in a 2/3 Falls match on the PPV pre-show.

– WWE tag champions New Day were part of Edge & Christian’s WWE PPV return for a Cutting Edge Peep Show segment. The segment ended with League of Nations joining the verbal spat with no physicality.

– WWE announced that the Vince McMahon, Sr. Award segment will open Monday’s Raw.

– Machine Gun Kelly was shown on the front row at the PPV in Cleveland. He avoided taking a powerbomb off the stage from Kevin Owens since he did not perform a musical number.

– Mauro Ranallo made his WWE PPV debut calling the pre-show match between Kalisto and Del Rio. Michael Cole then called the main PPV with JBL and Byron Saxton.
