– Plenty of TV and print interviews/appearances this week leading up to WrestleMania – John Cena on the “Today” and “Tonight” shows, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on SportsCenter, Brock Lesnar on SportsCenter, Michael Hayes with a very revealing interview with JBL on WWE Network, Linda McMahon talking to Katie Couric, and more to come this week with Shane McMahon on SportsCenter tonight and Mick Foley on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s podcast tomorrow night on WWE Network. – WWE sent out a Network email blast hyping the top matches at WrestleMania on Sunday. Triple H vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Title is got top billing, followed by Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker in Hell in a Cell and Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar in a No Holds Barred Street Fight. The fourth match included after the Big Three is the Divas Title match between Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch.

WWE sent out a separate email blast to lapsed Network subscribers hyping A.J. Styles vs. Chris Jericho trying to get former customers to come back to the Network for WrestleMania.

– While basically living in New York City to start the week, John Cena talked to TMZ about WrestleMania, politics, and random topics. Included was the interviewer asking Cena if Shane McMahon could be a full-time wrestler like the WWE roster. Cena took exception to the question, saying he thinks Shane has full-time passion and energy for WWE.

Outside of WWE, Shane’s day job includes a fourth quarter conference call for YOU On Demand scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. Shane is scheduled to join other YOU executives at 4:30 p.m. EST to discuss fourth quarter 2015 business.

Dolph Ziggler talked to Fox Business about working with Donald Trump in WWE and whether he has political aspirations. Ziggler, who has been tweeting a lot about the Republican party race during campaign season, explained where the enthusiasm comes from: “I’ve always been very interested and now that everyone else is interested it makes me excited because I don’t have to just find a political science professor from Kent State from 20 years ago and try and text them something.”

WWE announced basic details of a new “Scooby-Doo” movie from WWE Studios scheduled for release this summer. The movie is titled “Scooby-Doo and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon.” The cover art indicates The Undertaker and Corporate Triple H will be featured in the movie.

– 2K Sports announced an update to the “WWE SuperCard” mobile card game. On Wednesday, 2K introduced 70 new cards as part of the “WrestleMania Tier,” including new cards for A.J. Styles, Braun Strowman, Trish Stratus, and Asuka. SuperCard is available in all major mobile gaming stores such as the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore.

– WWE and Avid announced a partnership to help WWE’s content work flow and prevent major disruptions with the Avid MediaCentral Platform. From the press release: “By embracing Avid Everywhere, the global sports media company can enable its production teams to work more efficiently.  WWE has chosen to protect its investment in the new workflow solution, as well as its media assets by implementing a back-up system so it can continue to produce content in the event of an unexpected disruption.”

– Lucha Underground is heading to Japan. A show mixing Japanese wrestling, AAA, and Lucha Underground is scheduled for April 20 in Tokyo. Included is Fenix vs. Pentagon, Jr. representing LU. (Full Details on the show)

– All Japan held a press conference addressing the status of Joe Doering, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and will undergoe chemotherapy. Doering is off the Champion Carnival tournament and his teammate Atsushi Aoki is scheduled to replace him. (Details via PuroresuSpirit.net)
