SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Sting made it official. He is retiring from pro wrestling.

The 2016 WWE Hall of Fame headliner closed his induction speech Saturday night (April 2) in Dallas saying he is officially retiring from wrestling under the WWE umbrella.

Earlier in his speech, Sting was greeted by chants of “one more match,” which he did not acknowledge, and then an “Undertaker” chant, which he also did not acknowledge.

Sting ended his speech saying he is officially retired. But, after picking up his trademark baseball bat, Sting closed his speech by saying this is not good-bye, only “see you later.” The HOF broadcast ended on Sting’s teaser about a potential post-wrestling role with WWE.
