Guests: IC champion The Miz & Maryse
Host: Jonathan Coachman

New Intercontinental champion The Miz and his wife Maryse joined Coach Tuesday night SportsCenter to discuss a variety of topics.

Most notably, Maryse talked about why she decided to return to WWE in an active role. Maryse said she missed being on TV after 5-6 years away from WWE and she missed the rush of coming through the curtain to work in front of an audience. Miz added that he missed having Maryse on the road for the past five years.

Maryse also confirmed that she will be part of Season 6 of “Total Divas” as WWE and E! try to shake up a tired formula that led to record-low viewership in Season 5. Miz bragged that Maryse is a “ratings spike.” Coach then brought up WWE shifting their presentation of the women’s roster from “Divas” to “Superstars,” yet the name of the show remains “Total Divas.”

Miz also cut a promo on his next Intercontinental Title opponent – Cesaro. Miz said Cesaro is talent, strength, and athleticism, but he has Maryse, his mind, and the IC Title. Miz said it was indescribable winning the title again because all of his childhood heroes held the title. He said that celebrating the title win with his wife made it even better.

Miz also mixed in some NBA Playoffs talk, predicting the Cavaliers finally bringing a major sports title to Cleveland.

– Prior to Miz & Maryse’s interview, Coach broke down Monday’s Raw episode. Coach highlighted Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows’s debut, A.J. Styles vs. Sami Zayn, and Roman Reigns forming a strange pairing with Bray Wyatt to beat The League of Nations.
