– Kenny Omega retained the IWGP Intercontinental Title against Michael Elgin in the main event of Wednesday’s show in Fukuoka, Japan.

It turned into a hardcore match with Omega eventually winning after tables, ladders, and trashcans were used.

After the match, Elgin’s tag partner Tanahashi came out to challenge Omega for the title. Omega said he would think about it, then kicked Tanahashi in the groin, and said his answer is no.

Omega then grabbed a ladder and placed it over Tanahashi. Omega joked in English to the Japanese crowd that this is like American television and stood on the ladder over Tanahashi to establish his dominance over New Japan’s ace.

– Also on the show, CHAOS got a victory over Naito’s L.I.P. faction in an eight-man tag match. Tomohiro Ishii scored the fall over BUSHI before challenging Naito for the IWGP World Title on May 3.

– The next big event is Wrestling Dontaku on May 3 where almost every title is on the line. The event airs early Tuesday morning U.S. time on New Japan World.
