WWE announced Sunday before the Extreme Rules PPV that they have officially released “Stardust” Cody Rhodes from his WWE contract.
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Cody Rhodes as of today, May 22, 2016. WWE wishes Rhodes the best in all his future endeavors,” WWE announced.
Rhodes announced Saturday on Twitter that he requested his release from the company.
