SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

“The Rock” Dwayne Johnson and comedian/actor Kevin Hart sat down with Miami TV entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet to promote their “Central Intelligence” movie due out in June.

Included was Rock talking about his transition from Rocky Maivia (getting the Roman Reigns treatment 20 years ago) to The Rock, and how it’s translated to his business empire.

“Just over time and I think it’s something that we connected on, just wanting to grow,” Rock said. “You want to grow your business, you want to grow your enterprise and that’s a key. And look, Kevin said something very smart earlier in the press conference which is surrounding yourself with some really smart people along the way who share in your vision but you always want to make it about the work. It’s always about the hard work.”

Rock also talked about whether his movie character’s jean shorts attire was inspired by John Cena. Rock laughingly said no, then Hart playfully took digs at Cena’s jorts. Rock said Cena owns the jorts look, though, defending Cena now that they’re cool with each other.
