WWE released a 14-minute video introducing the Cruiserweight tournament that began taping Thursday at Full Sail University.
Each of the 32 wrestlers made a ring entrance posing for the hard camera as announcers Mauro Ranallo and Daniel Bryan described their backgrounds. The stand-out crowd reactions were for Zack Sabre, Jr., Kota Ibushi, and Johnny Gargano.
After each wrestler was introduced, Ranallo and Bryan previewed the July set of episodes.
July 6 – “Bracketology” special at 9:00 p.m. EST on WWE Network. Ranallo, Bryan, and Corey Graves will break down the 16 First Round matches (taped Thursday – contains SPOILERS) and reveal the full brackets for the single-elimination tournament. Also, Triple H will be interviewed about the tournament.
July 13 – The premiere episode of the Cruiserweight tournament at 9:00 p.m. EST on the Network.
