SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

UFC Hvt. fighter “Big Country” Roy Nelson revealed Tuesday that he would consider crossing over to WWE, pending a conversation with UFC president Dana White.

“I would love to go to WWE,” Nelson told the MMA media during an Open Workout promoting his next UFC fight Thursday night in Las Vegas.

“But, I think in our contracts we’re not allowed to do that. There are some people who get that little extra leeway. But, now I think everyone is kind of going that way, I might as well try it,” Nelson continued.

“I’ll talk to Dana and say, ‘Hey, can we do this?'”

Big Country faces Derrick Lewis in a Hvt. division fight at the “UFC Fight Night” card Thursday night, kicking off three straight events in Las Vegas this weekend.

The weekend culminates with Brock Lesnar returning to UFC to fight Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on Saturday night. Roy Nelson also commented on the Lesnar-Hunt in his media interview.
