USA Network was planning a big promotional tie-in between the Smackdown re-start going live on Tuesday nights and their new action/drama “Shooter.”

However, those plans are off, as USA has decided to bump “Shooter” from its summer TV schedule in light of recent shooting-related tragedies across the U.S., reports Deadline.com.

Shooter was scheduled to premiere this Tuesday, July 19, along with Smackdown’s live premiere. Last week, USA bumped the premiere back one week to July 26.

However, after more shootings over the weekend, USA decided to bump Shooter from the summer schedule all together. The show might premiere in the fall.

WWE star Randy Orton filmed a guest-starring role on the new show starring Ryan Phillippe. Orton’s appearance was set to be part of Summerslam cross-promotion ahead of Orton facing Brock Lesnar at Summerslam.
