SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

The fan who rushed the ring Monday night during Raw TV has been identified and charged.

Edward Ferrero, 23, was charged with assault and criminal trespass after jumping into the ring during Seth Rollins’s live promo calling out Finn Balor, reports KZTV10 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

According to the police report, Ferrero jumped a gated area near the stage and tried to run into the ring. The nearby security guard tried to detain Ferrero, but he resisted, causing them to fall to the ground.

Ferrero allegedly bit the security guard on the arm. Ferrero made it into the ring, then was hauled away by more security.

Ferrero was booked on the assault and trespass charges, which are a Class B Misdemeanor offense. Ferrero faces a maximum $4,000 fine and potentially one year in jail, depending on how the legal process plays out.
