WWE Concussion Suits Updates – September 2016

Suit #1 – LoGrasso & Singleton vs. WWE

September 8 Update: WWE filed a motion in the U.S. District Court of Connecticut on Thursday unrelated to the remaining claim by plaintiffs Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton.

The motion was in response to one of the other concussion-related lawsuits that was attached to LoGrasso & Singleton vs. WWE.

Regarding the matter of Robert Windham (Blackjack Mulligan) suing WWE over concussions, WWE motioned for a final judgment preventing Windham, Thomas Billington (Dynamite Kid), James Ware (Koko B. Ware), and Oreal Perras (Ivan Koloff) from being able to sue WWE again.

“WWE is entitled to a declaratory judgment on the pleadings that Defendants are time-barred from bringing any claims related to alleged traumatic brain injuries or any other tort claims against WWE,” argued lead attorney Jerry McDevitt.

“Wherefore, the Court should grant WWE’s motion for judgment on the pleadings in the Windham action and enter the declaratory judgment requested by WWE in its complaint.”

A response is due by September 29 before the court rules.

– Regarding the existing LoGrasso & Singleton vs. WWE suit, the next important date is September 19. That is the deadline for the Plaintiffs to respond to WWE’s request for summary judgment.
