SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-Kevin Owens and David Otunga exchanged pretty nasty Tweets. Otunga liked and retweeted someone who quoted him from TV saying he had the line of the night regarding Owens: “Battle of the Bulge, and I’m not talking about Kevin Owens’ stomach. Owens replied: “Wow! You found the one person that enjoys your commentary. Let us know when you find one that enjoyed your in-ring work.” (We always like when Otunga makes news so we can dust off and utilize the custom art we created for him a few years back before he disappeared for a while.) See the Tweet exchange HERE.

NOTE: Help us point out to our readers the most interesting Tweets by people in the wrestling industry. Send a link to any newsworthy, funny, or outlandish Tweets from people in wrestling to pwtorch@gmail.com. We’ll include them on PWTorch.com, and give you credit if you want us to.

-Randy Orton and his wife Kim welcomed their new daughter, Rose, into the world this afternoon. On another Orton-related note, photos were posted on Twitter of Orton consoling Shane McMahon’s family at ringside when Shane was legitimately rocked by the bump he took from Roman Reigns’s spear at the Survivor Series. If Bray Wyatt sees any of this, I wonder if he’ll trust that Orton has really joined the dark side. Oh wait, Bray’s all over social media out of character, too, so he won’t care.

Sapolsky said he plans to take FIP in a bold new direction. “FIP is going to be the Wild West,” Sapolsky stated in a WWN press release. “When people think of me now, they think of EVOLVE. This is not going to EVOLVE 2.0 at all. It’s going to add something totally new to The WWN Family.” Says the FloSlam announcement: “FIP is a part of the FloSlam lineup, with its next event, ‘FIP: Everything Burns 2017,’ taking place Jan. 8 at The Orpheum in Ybor City, Fla.
