SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Shinsuke Nakamura became a two-time NXT Champion, defeating Samoa Joe in Osaka, Japan hours ago on an NXT live event.

WWE publicized the title change including a video clip of action on their Twitter feed and posted photos on WWE.com.

Keller’s Analysis: This title change was expected, as Joe beating Nakamura at Takeover was a bit of a surprise, and with the rematch in Japan, it made sense for WWE to give Nakamura a big win in Japan. Also, with Samoa Joe not at the NXT TV tapings with the belt, it built expectations that he’d be dropping the title and perhaps being called up to the main roster soon.
