SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-Former Ring of Honor TV Champion Bobby still has not signed a new contract with the company. PWTorch has learned that Fish will appear for the company as a freelance worker for the time being. Fish is currently advertised for ROH’s TV Tapings on Jan. 14 in Atlanta. His other announced match is for Feb. 4 in Dallas where he is set to face Lio Rush. Fish’s contract is set to expire at midnight on Dec. 31, 2016.

-Shane Taylor announced on his Twitter account that he has signed a contract with Ring of Honor. Taylor has been used in the tag division and had been working on a per date agreement with ROH teaming with Keith Lee.

Radican’s Analysis: It’s good to see that Fish will continue to work for ROH despite not coming to an agreement on a new contract. According to multiple sources, Fish was extremely frustrated with the way he was booked in the company in 2016. ROH would be wise to do what it takes to lock Fish up, as he’s an extremely talented wrestler that is valuable to the company as a singles wrestler and as one half of ReDRagon with Kyle O’Reilly.

It remains to be seen what O’Reilly does next, but according to a trusted source, it is a long-shot that he re-signs with ROH unless something miraculous happens the next time both sides have a chance to meet in Japan for NJPW’s Wrestling Kingdom PPV on Jan. 4.

Taylor is a good signing for ROH. His partner Keith Lee has made his mark on the indie scene in places like Beyond Wrestling this year as a singles act, but he and Taylor had a good feud with War Machine in ROH in 2016. Taylor & Lee are also set to team in Beyond Wrestling beginning in January.
