NEWS ITEMS: Mauro parts ways with WWE, Dumpster Match booked for Raw, Swagger’s future, Impact departure, Cena turns 40

-Mauro Ranallo revealed to Newsweek this weekend that he and WWE have agreed to terms on parting ways. He also was quoted as saying his departure is not related to JBL. “WWE and I have mutually agreed to part ways. It has nothing to do with JBL,” he said. He will remain under contract until Aug. 12. JBL issued a statement to Newsweek regarding alleged hazing of WWE performers on his part, including Mauro: “Admittedly, I took part in locker room pranks that existed within the industry years ago. WWE addressed my behavior and I responded accordingly, yet my past is being brought up because of recent unfounded rumors. I apologize if anything I said playing ‘the bad guy’ on a TV show was misconstrued.” FULL STORY

-John Cena turned 40 years old today. On “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” he referenced Cena turning 40 and lamented that they are both the same age.

-Monday Night Raw will feature a “dumpster match” between Braun Strowman and Kalisto, as announced at WWE.com. Strowman threw Kalisto in a dumpster a couple weeks ago on Raw.

-Crazzy Steve announced on Twitter: “Thank you to everyone @ImpactWrestling” and “For independent bookings, autograph signings, & conventions contact; bookcrazzysteve@gmail.com.”

-Jack Swagger announced on a video posted on Twitter that he will wrestle for House of Hardcore on their tour of Australia from June 17 through 24. Swagger recently received his release from WWE.
