SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Every Tuesday morning, Hulu debuts a 90 minute version of the previous night’s three hour plus Monday Night Raw on the USA Network.

Here is a chronological list of matches and segments WWE cut from the full version of Raw’s 9/11/2017 edition before handing it off to Hulu…

-Sasha Banks vs. Emma

-The ad for this week’s Smackdown appearance of Vince McMahon in response to the Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon situation.

-Graves plugging Miz TV later with Enzo Amore, and Cole announcing Bray Wyatt.

-Bray Wyatt vs Goldust, and Finn Balor coming out post match after Wyatt wiped Goldust’s facepaint off, accusing him of being just like Balor.

-Charley Caruso’s backstage interview with Cesaro and Sheamus.

-Elias singing mid-ring and his match vs Kalisto.

-The commercial for tomorrow’s Mae Young Classic finals after Smackdown.

-Michael Cole giving hype to 205 Live the next night, after the Mae Young Classic finals, featuring Rich Swann vs TJP.

-Neville laughing at Enzo backstage as Enzo was gasping for air after being beatdown by the Miztourage and Miz

Now here’s the chronological list of what was on the condensed Hulu version…

-The moment of silence for the September 11, 2011 terrorist attacks.

-The standard Raw opening, then Michael Cole’s opening hype for the show.

-Roman Reigns vs. Jason Jordan with each man’s full ring entrance.

-John Cena’s full entrance and the promo with Reigns that followed.

-Footage of last week’s cage match between Braun Strowman vs Big Show.

-Brock Lesnar’s and Paul Heyman’s full entrance.

-Heyman’s promo and the Lesnar confrontation with Strowman that followed.

-Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose joining the announcers on commentary.

-The full entrance of Gallows and Anderson, then Sheamus’s and Cesaro’s entrance, and the three team fight that occurred on the entrance ramp after Sheamus and Cesaro had words with Ambrose and Rollins.

-The announcers talking about the recent natural disasters and the phone number of 1-800-RED-CROSS for those who want to donate.

-Ambrose and Rollins backstage with Kurt Angle to make an eight man tag team match with them and two partners vs Gallows & Anderson and Cesaro & Sheamus, along with Angle thinking Batman would make a great tag team partner, which played off Ambrose saying they’ll go to Disneyworld to find a couple partners.

-Michael Cole asking Graves how Angle got the deal done to land the most sought after free agent, which led to a video package to announce Asuka was coming to Raw.

-Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss backstage complaining about Asuka coming to Raw.

-John Cena’s and Braun Strowman’s full entrances, followed by their match, and Roman Reigns’s backstage comment to Charley Caruso afterward that, like Strowman, he won’t show Cena any mercy.

-Ambrose and Rollins backstage, finding two backstage workers, then Jamie Noble and Dean Malenko, and finally Matt and Jeff Hardy to team up with them in the eight man match.

-The full Miz TV segment of Miz and Maryse announcing their pregnancy, Enzo’s interruption and promo with Miz.

-Enzo vs Miz.

– The full entrances of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose and the Hardy Boyz.

-Ambrose & Rollins and the Hardy Boyz vs Gallows & Anderson and Sheamus & Cesaro.

Craig’s Conclusion: This was another well-edited Hulu Raw. Perfection would have seen the Smackdown and Mae Young Classic ads in this Hulu version, plus Neville laughing at Enzo. Ring entrances could have been cut to make time for these, in my opinion, necessary abilities to cross promote. WWE loves to over-promote themselves, so these omissions leave me wondering why there wasn’t any cross promotion for these. Enzo is supposed to be the injection of life to rejuvenate 205 Live, and Vince returning to TV is always a big deal. The Mae Young Classic finals this week will most likely lead to both Horsewomen factions converging from the confrontation that WWE showcased on their other platforms. The most possible eyeballs on the live broadcast should be their goal, but not giving it the promotion on this Hulu Raw is again, troubling.
