Top Five Brock Lesnar Questions To Be Answered

After an extensive discussion of Brock Lesnar's return on Thursday's PWTorch Livecast with Greg Parks, here are my Top Five Brock Lesnar questions that will need to be answered following his WWE Return.

(1) Is he healthy? Brock retired from UFC three months ago after struggling to make a comeback following a battle with diverticulitis. WWE, Brock, and his first match opponent can lay out a match that doesn't require a lot of hard falls early in Brock's return; perhaps a walking brawl at Extreme Rules will fit the bill for his first match back.

(2) How will Brock look in a WWE ring after an eight-year absence? Again, Brock is fresh off the end of his MMA career. If there is a quick turnaround to Extreme Rules in a few weeks, is in-shape to put forth a competent effort in the ring? Or, will he look rusty and "off his game," potentially affecting the WWE audience's interest in seeing him compete over the next year of his contract.

(3) Will he be over-exposed? This is starting out as a nostalgia return, but if WWE has a firm angle/plan/feud in-mind that could stretch out over a full year, perhaps with some other people involved along the way, all parties could avoid the dreaded over-exposure of a top attraction star.

(4) Will WWE mention his UFC background? Lesnar returned on Raw as "Brock Lesnar, former WWE wrestler," instead of "Brock Lesnar, UFC fighter" returning to WWE to "invade" the company. Will they mention where he's been the past eight years since unceremoniously leaving WWE at WrestleMania 20 in 2004?

(5) Who will he feud with? John Cena is the obvious and apparent candidate, but is Cena a stepping stone for a potential Summerslam showdown with the likes of Rock, Undertaker, Triple H, C.M. Punk, or someone else? Or, will Brock and Cena stretch out a feud for several months? Looking at Cena's potential opponents coming out of WrestleMania, the current roster provides few options. A long run with Brock makes the most sense until WWE can get someone ready for Cena after spending the past year focused on Rock.
