PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO BOOKMARK US & VISIT US DAILY

By Keith Lipinski, Torch "New Years Bad Boy"

The Soundtrack of your life, now playing in the "Dummy Room" (click on the band name for a free MP3): "Seven Ways To Scream Your Name" - Funeral For A Friend, "Room On Fire" - The Strokes

*** *** ***

Unfortunately 2003 will not be known as "the year of Eric Bischoff" (as proclaimed by RAW General Manager Eric Bishoff during the first Raw of 2003), however 2003 was another interesting year for the wonderful world of professional wrestling. Now, we here at Lipinski's Lounge would like to take you on a musical and visual trip back through time over the last 365 days, or what we would like to call "the year 2003." However, due to budget constraints, the decline of house show business, the weather, the internet, "Tough Enough", the American Version of "Coupling", and the cyclical nature of the musk oxen reproductive cycle and the business, we were unable to acquire the rights for the footage or the music. I know, it’s a low down damn dirty shame. However, these very special music videos can still be viewed on the Real Time Player in your head by using your imagination and revisiting a time full of wonder, excitement, agony and disappointment. Where the air smelled of burnt Kane, and the hopes of the industry rested on the one leg of Zach Gowen and extreme nepotism. A time I would like to call 2003. Enjoy!

I had a dream (Dusty Rhodes pulling out a stepladder in his ladder match against Brian Lawler)

I had an awesome dream (Goldust putting a wig on Goldberg's head)

People in the park (3 Live Kru in that trailer park being stalked by unnamed "shirtless hick")

Playing games in the dark (New Jack and Shark Boy playing Twister, Hulk Hands)

And what they played was a masquerade (Mr. America putting the American flag down his pants)

Behind the walls of doubt (Footage from the Nathan Jones promo video where he's locked in jail)

As we go down life's lonesome highway (Brock Lesnar’s shooting star press at Mania 19, Frankie Kazarian almost killing himself with AJ Styles styles clash, Kane’s limo smashing into a truck and being thrown into a flaming dumpster)

Seems the hardest thing to do is to find a friend or two (Scott Steiner vs. HHH feud highlights, pose down, arm wrestling, bench pressing pie-eating contests)

A helping hand - Some one who understands (Al Wilson & Dawn Marie’s "naked" wedding, honeymoon, and funeral, Trish & Jeff Hardy, Trish & Chris Jericho)

That when you feel you've lost your way (Teddy Hart doing backflips and throwing up in his hands, Shane Douglas throwing up mid-ring, Eric Bishoff throwing up in the "Judgment Day" skybox)

You've got some one there to say I'll show you (Spanky riding a girls bike down for the Undertakers singing telegram, streaking through the crowd, and dancing on the bar during the first annual APA Barroom Brawl)

Say you, say me (Big Show being sprayed with s**t, Young Roosevelt and super hero in training box, Mae Young giving the bronco buster to Eric Bishoff during the "Redneck Trailaton", Billy, Torrie, Jamie Knoble and Nidia love-in)

Say you, say me. Say it for always, naturally...(Austin’s two beer toast goodbye at Survivor Series 2003)

So you think you know the answers - Oh no (Vince McMahon flips over clipboard, Damaja "quits" OVW, Raven gets scalped, David Flair's "burlap sack" uncovered with NWA title belt)

'Cause the whole world has got you dancing (John Cena’s "you cant see me" hand sign and shuffle, Low Ki dancing with Special K at "Expect The Unexpected", Vince and Sable dancing in his private skybox, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong doing the charliston and saying "ROCK AND ROLLLLLL!", Lance "Boring" Storm and his funky dance, Rico's lovely prance)

It's time to start believing - Oh yes (Raven shows up on TNA, CM Punk’s bloody "my father was just like you Raven" promo after "WrestleRave", Kobashi’s burning hammer to Misawa, Jody Fleisch and Slim J's stereo moonsaults off a 20 foot scaffold)
