Main Event opened with a video package from Raw's closing segment. Edge and Christian then made their way to the ring. Cole welcomed the audience to Main Event live on the network. Tonight he is joined by JBL and Booker T.
Christian began the Cutting Edge Peep Show segment by announcing Edge like Tony Chimel. Edge said that after everything that happened in Raw, he couldn't sleep last night. He then said he got a lawyer to make sure that if anything happened to him tonight that he will own the WWE. Christian said that they aren't happy either that The Authority are back in power, but they will still host Smackdown and Main Event tonight. Edge said he thought it would be a good opportunity to do another Cutting Edge Peep Show tonight and that he would never lead Christian astray. Christian refuted Edge's claims by recalling a time he had to wear a chicken suit when he was trying to lose weight. Edge said he has a guest tonight who is a total freakazoid. He then revealed the guest tonight is Adam Rose.
Christian welcomed Rose to the show and told him it looks like he hasn't showered in months. One of the Rosebuds was holding a puppet that looked like Edge and Edge asked how he obtained his stunt double. Edge asked Rose why he sucks on the lollipop and Christian said that actually people just think he sucks. Rose said he only sucks on lollipops and then listed a few flavors. Edge said he wanted to talk about the Exotic Express. Christian and Edge listed off many expresses in wrestling such as the Lex Express and Midnight Express. Edge paced around the Rosebuds and asked where The Bunny was. Rose said that they turned into lemons right in front of his eyes. He said The Bunny doesn't deserve to be in the rosebuds anymore.
Edge said that he comes from the Attitude Era and if you want to talk about partying with bunnies that's another story. Edge said they wanted they want to do a 5 Second Pose tonight with just the Rosebuds, not Adam Rose. Rose said they only do what he says. Edge said tonight they will do what the WWE Universe says. Rose left the ring and told the Rosebuds to follow him. Edge then said for the benefit of those with flash photography will will now pose with the Rosebuds. Edge's music played and they all danced in the ring.
Announcers: Cole said the first match would feature Charlotte. A video package played highlighting Charlotte in the ring.
Sasha Banks made her entrance for the upcoming match. Charlotte came out next.
1 -- NXT Women's champ CHARLOTTE vs. SASHA BANKS
Sasha pushed Charlotte, then Charlotte pushed over Sasha. Both women flipped around until Charlotte kicked down Sasha. Charlotte threw Sasha into the corner, then Sasha countered and beat down Charlotte and went for a pin. Sasha threw Charlotte into the other corner and maintained control. Sasha drove her leg into Charlottes back. Charlotte separated them by lifting up Sasha.
Charlotte landed a few clotheslines followed by a neckbreaker. She then went for moonsault, but landed on her feet and jumped onto Sasha. Sasha kicked out and hit a neckbreaker Charlotte. But, Charlotte planted Sasha's face into the mat and hit Natural Selection for the pin.
WINNER: Charlotte at 4:40 with Natural Selection.
Backstage: Santino was at his party talking to his cobra. Erick Rowan appeared next to Santino and asked where the party was.
In-ring: Justin Gabriel was in the ring waiting for his opponent. Titus O'Neil came out and said 2015 would be the year of the gator. He said gators don't bark, but they damn sure bite.
2 -- TITUS O'NEIL vs. JUSTIN GABRIEL
Gabriel kicked Titus early until Titus pushed him over. Titus rolled to the outside. Gabriel kicked him on the apron them Titus knocked him over. In the ring, Titus hit a nice clothesline. Titus put him in a headlock and began to wear him down. Titus threw Gabriel into the corner. Gabriel countered and stomped on Titus's back. Gabriel went back to the top, but Titus kicked him and hit a powerbomb for the win.
WINNER: O'Neil at 3:42.
Announcers: Cole went back to the events on Raw involving Daniel Bryan. A video package aired highlighting Bryan's segment.
Backstage: Santino was celebrating the new year with Erick Rowan. R-Truth came in and said he would leave the two alone.
Gold and Stardust then came to the ring.
The Usos made their full entrance to the ring.
3 -- WWE Tag Team champs THE USOS vs. THE RHODES BROS. (GOLDUST & "STARDUST" CODY RHODES) -- non-title match
Jimmy started the match with Goldust, who hit an atomic drop then a clothesline to Jimmy. Stardust tagged in and Jimmy hit a dropkick. Jey tagged in and bodyslammed Stardust. Jimmy came back in and chopped Stardust. Jimmy landed a clothesline, then hit a corkscrew off the top rope heading to break.
Jimmy was back in the ring with Stardust. Jimmy began to beat down Stardust until he fled the ring. Stardust kicked Jimmy and the ref began to count out Jimmy. Back in the ring, Goldust tagged in and beat down Jimmy. Stardust came back in and kicked Jimmy. He stomped on his chest and ankle. Jimmy hit a neckbreaker and went for the tag, but Stardust prevented him and tagged in Goldust.
Goldust dominated Jimmy. Jimmy smacked Goldust but Goldust hit a spinebuster and tagged in Stardust, who went for a cross-body, but was countered. Jey got the hot tag and hit a series of clotheslines and right hands followed by a Samoan Drop. Goldust hit a scoopslam, but Jimmy broke up the pin. Jey went for a pin, then superkicked Goldust. He tagged in Jimmy, who hit a splash for the win.
WINNER: The Usos at 10:55.
FINAL THOUGHTS: The Usos and Goldust put on a good main event that is worth seeking out if you aren't tired of seeing the teams against each other. They didn't forward the storyline with Naomi, which I guess is understandable since Miz was not involved here... Santino's New Year's segments were pretty flat, but at least they were kept short... I'm a little disappointed to see that Rowan is just a big guy slotted into comedic situations much like The Great Khali. I feel that if he was taken seriously he could be a good big-man babyface who is a man of few words. I truly believe that because it worked a Survivor Series... The Cutting Edge Peep Show didn't do much for Adam Rose. Sure he got a little rub standing in the ring with two respected veterans, but he didn't do a whole lot or look good. The point of this was to find a way to get Edge and Christian on the show and not have them intertwine too much in a new storyline. With all that said this segment was fine, but felt redundant from having a similar segment on Raw, but with a different outcome.
