FAQ for Mobile VIP Audio on Android devices

BEYOND POD APP (Free)

To subscribe to the PWTorch VIP Audio shows in "Beyond Pod," follow these instructions:

(1) First of course download the app.

(2) Then subscribe to the PWTorch VIP Audio feed (http://www.pwtorch.com/pwtorchvipaudio.xml). Enter that URL in the feed entry area.

(3) Then once the PWTorch VIP Audio logo is visible on your list of feeds, hold down on the logo until a list of advanced options pops up. Choose "Edit Feed." Then scroll to the bottom of the options and click on "More Settings..." You can then create a custom name for the feed (we suggest PWT VIP AUDIO). Then under that in "Feed Authentication" enter your PWTorch VIP username and password. You shouldn't need to tweak any other default settings. You may need to hit the "refresh" circular symbol to get the feed updated whenever you're looking for the latest show.

That's it!

DOGG CATCHER APP ($4.99)

Some like the premium feel of Dogg Catcher and recommend paying the $4.99 for it's rich features. However, you may very well find Beyond Pod to be a more than satisfying feature-rich app for the PWTorch VIP Audio shows.

Choose "Edit Feed." Then scroll down to "Feed Authentication" and enter your PWTorch VIP username and password. You shouldn't need to tweak any other default settings. You may need to hit the "refresh" circular symbol to get the feed updated whenever you're looking for the latest show.

OPERA MINI BROWSER (Free)

Another option is to just stream the audio shows directly from the Opera Mini Browser. Unlike the default Android browser and other third-party browswers like Dolphin, Opera works well with password authentication sites. So just log into the PWTorch VIP website (http://www.pwtorch.com/members) and enter your username and password. Then zoom into the links for the latest audio shows and click to listen. It should stream on your phone.

FAQ FOR VIEWING PWTORCH PDF DIGITAL NEWSLETTERS

On your Android phone or tablet, your best chance to be able to view our PDF Digital Newsletters (new issues or back issue archives) is using the Opera Browswer on your tablet. We have tested it on the Samsung Galaxy Tab and successfully viewed the newsletters. We didn't have luck with the default browser. On other Android Tablets, you may not have success downloading the PDF newsletters. If you use another device and find a way to view the PDF Digital Newsletters, please us know so we can update this FAQ!

On the iPad, the most popular tablet device, the newsletters load right into the default Safari browser without a hitch. Just log into the VIP website and choose the issue to view/download. We also recommend the free "Zinio" app if you like to keep a library of issues on your tablet.

We appreciate any feedback on this FAQ page. If you have another method to listen to audio or view newsletters on your Android device, please let us know in as much detail as you can (what method do you use and what device are you using and what software version is installed). Send to kellerwade@gmail.com.

Also, if you use a Windows, Amazon, Nook, or Blackberry mobile device and access PWTorch VIP content, please let us know any helpful tips for other VIP members and we'll update this FAQ. Send to kellerwade@gmail.com.

Thanks!
