New TNA Hvt. champion determined on TNA Impact

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Drew Galloway became the new TNA Hvt. champion at the conclusion of Tuesday night’s semi-live Impact episode back in Orlando, Florida.

How TNA got to a new TNA Hvt. champion over the course of two-plus hours breaks down as such:

  • Original advertising of TNA Hvt. champion Matt Hardy vs. Ethan Carter III
  • Jeff Hardy vs. Eric Young opening match turned into #1 contender add-on
  • Jeff Hardy wins to be added to Matt-ECIII
  • Matt Hardy complains to Dixie Carter about match add-on; title match is turned into No DQ match
  • During the Matt-Jeff-ECIII title match, Jeff is carried out mid-match following an attack by EY and Bram
  • Mike Bennett runs in to attack ECIII, leaving Hardy by himself
  • No Decision is rendered on the original match
  • Drew Galloway runs in with his TNA Hvt. Title shot Feast or Fired briefcase to cash in against Matt
  • Galloway pins Matt Hardy in less than a minute to win the TNA Hvt. Title

Now the question is whether the title gets held up due to “legal threats” from Matt Hardy and a three-month tournament takes place to determine a new TNA Hvt. champion.
