ROH stars returning to New Japan during G1 Climax; Briscoes’s first IWGP Tag Title defense; NJPW stars eying Lethal’s ROH World Title

New Japan announced Monday that ROH stars are returning to New Japan at the end of the G1 Climax tournament.

Specifically, ROH World champion Jay Lethal is returning for the final set of shows in Tokyo on August 12-14.

Lethal is scheduled to team with L.I.J. against the Bullet Club on Aug. 12 and Team New Japan on Aug. 13. Included in Team New Japan are Tanahashi, Kojima, and IWGP Jr. Hvt. champion KUSHIDA. NJPW noted that both Tanahashi and KUSHIDA are looking for ROH Title shots.

Also returning to Japan are the new IWGP World tag champions The Briscoes. They will be making their first Tag Title defense against Bullet Club’s “Hangman” Adam Page & Yujiro Takahashi on the final day of the tournament on Aug. 14.
