How should The Death Riders be featured going forward?
More on why some Tough Enough wrestlers weren’t welcomed to the main roster
Do guaranteed contracts dampen motivation by wrestlers to grow as performers, such as Mark Henry, Big Show, and Marc Mero in the early 2000s?

Some AEW fans say they want a more serious, sports-like presentation, yet so many fans laugh and cheer zaniness and silliness on the shows, so what gives?
A look back at Pat Patterson’s babyface turn in Roy Shires San Francisco territory in 1972 and what it says about the merits of minimal turns
What was the best chapter of Seth Rollins’ career and character presentation?
How would the Shield’s split be rearranged to get the most out of the three wrestlers?
Is the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight hype and Dana White glowing up at reporters, are we inching toward the end of Saudi money influencing boxing?
What is Pac’s legacy?
Is AEW becoming the steward of pro wrestling given how it’s acknowledging the global scene, such as how they’ve presented the tribute to Pac?

Two wrestlers from prominent Wrestling Open tag teams, Kylon King and Aaron Ortiz, square off. J Bouji and Jodi Aura are no longer in the Discovery Gauntlet, but they still have a grudge that needs to be settled. For VIP listeners, we go to House of Glory, where Aaron Rourke wrestles a mystery opponent. Luckily for House of Glory, another wrestling promotion was having a show in the same city the next day.

Alan4L’s ProWres Paradise: “What’s on the Telly?” Digging into 1991 and 1983 as the WWF reigns in Spain, and Bill Dundee wants forgiveness in Memphis (89 min.)

Thu, 01 Oct 2026 18:18:30 +0000

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

SHOW SUMMARY: In our latest episode of Alan4L’s ProWres Paradise, PWTorch columnist Alan4L is joined by Manu Romero for the September edition of “What’s on the Telly?” In this monthly series, Alan and his guest will each pick an episode of wrestling TV from that month in the past and break it down. This month, we play with the calendar a little bit and bend the rules slightly, but it was worth it to have Manu discuss a really important and under-discussed piece of wrestling history – that being the first ever WWF TV show on television in Spain. “Pressing Catch” as it was known emanated from a packed Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona in front of 19,000 fans seeing stars such as The Rockers, The Undertaker, and Tito Santana. Manu provides a ton of really interesting background info about the show, from translations of the commentary to the involvement of one Silvio Berlusconi! For Alan’s pick it was back to 1983 and this time a jaunt in to see Lance & Dave in the Memphis studio once again. It was the typical CWA fun with Lawler, Dundee, Hart, and all the gang, including a very special guest by telephone! So as the Autumn colors appear, fall back into the couch and check out what’s on the telly!

NOTE 1: Very minor (and hopefully unnoticeable) audio issue early in the show, but it was fixed 15 minutes in. NOTE 2: This was taped before the untimely passing of one of Alan’s all time favorite wrestlers – Pac. We’ll have more about Ben in future shows. RIP to a legend.

WKPWP WWE Raw Post-Show – 5 Yrs Ago: (9-27-2021) Keller & Vallejos react to Goldberg’s boneheaded threat to murder Bobby Lashley in Saudi Arabia, head-scratching women’s segments, Kross’s future (Ad-Free – 110 min.)

Wed, 30 Sep 2026 04:00:45 +0000

They discussed a pre-draft “lame duck” episode storyline-wise and try to make sense of what happened and determine what matters and ultimately didn’t matter, including cross-signals and head-scratching women’s segments throughout. Also, was it bait and switch or a bonus to have Big E vs. Bobby Lashley twice, thoughts on the reuniting of Hurt Business, what Drew McIntyre’s appearance might be about, the standout A.J. Styles vs. Riddle and Sheamus vs. Damian Priest matches, plus Goldberg’s boneheaded statement that he hopes to murder Bobby Lashley in Saudi Arabia and was Vince McMahon on the verge of outright cutting Karrion Kross. Oh, some Jimmy Smith bashing and sympathy for Corey Graves holding it together as well as he does each week.
