Keller & Powell VIP Aftershow: Might Cody go back to AEW? Big Cass, Chad Gable, Becky Lynch, WWE Unreal, Bron-Oba, WWE booking (66 min.)

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Thoughts on Jason and Wade on the Minnesota Vikings prospects and breaking news on the starting quarterback being named
Chad Gable over-the-head clap routine resembling the SKOL chant and a key part of Gable’s background WWE is entirely skipping and how it could help him as he struggles to get a strong crowd reaction these days
Big Cass’s presentation so far
What’s intriguing about the Bron Breakker-Oba Femi situation but a key aspect that is being downplayed and how it could benefit the story
Becky Lynch’s return and the continuation of face-face bickering and conflict with Stephanie Vaquer
Is WWE going to pay a bigger and bigger price if they stay on this course of booking their top acts lately
Thoughts on WWE Unreal including Paul Levesque vetoing John Cena’s idea to have boring, bad matches on purpose
Other thoughts on this season of WWE Unreal and will there be another given the lack of top ten rankings on Netflix this season
The Rock going into music now and whether it’s something to mock or applaud?
Closing thoughts on The Bloodline situation and the murky muddled interactions between all of the players
It’s time for WWE to go back to some of the fundamentals that make pro wrestling work rather than trying to produce “cinema” and ambiguous contradictory personalities bickering with bad finishes to key matches that seem more focused on “moments” and “merch” than pulling viewers into compelling stories and battles that they have a rooting interest in.
Could Cody Rhodes go back to AEW? A compelling case for why he might want to and how it has a possibility of happenings

Wed, 15 Jul 2026 03:00:30 +0000

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

An update on Summerslam ticket sales at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn. and the real reasons WWE is struggling to move tickets
Evaluating the build so for Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins and CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes
Thoughts on whether WWE is “playing it safe” by booking top stars against each other when they had more to work with that could have sparked actual fan interest by moving some fresh names into top matches at Summerslam
Analysis of “Hangman” Adam Page’s return to AEW TV on Collision and if the direction they seem to be going with him not being able to “challenge” for the AEW World Title is becoming obvious and also just “too cute”
Kenny Omega’s AEW World Title win, and whether Omega vs. Will Ospreay is better than MJF vs. Will Ospreay at All In at Wembley
Willow Nightingale’s promo on Collision

MAILBAG

Thoughts on War Games this year and whether it too obviously defines the next four months of top WWE storylines since it has to culminate in two factions going to war in a double-ring?
Should Sami Zayn be added to Punk vs. Cody, and if not, what is there for him?
Maxxine Dupri’s heel turn and pairing with Austin Theory; are they the next Francine & Shane Douglas?
Solo Sikoa’s apparent babyface turn

And more sprinkled throughout including mini-rants about the “Dark Side of the Ring” on TNA.
