IMPACT ZONE<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>AIRED ON AXS TV<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>REPORT BY DARRIN LILLY, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>-Recap package of Rich Swann\u2019s retirement speech from last week.\u00a0 The highlight clips were narrated by Rich\u2019s speech.\u00a0 Very well done.<\/p>\n<p>-A backstage fight between Willie Mack and Eric Young was joined in progress.\u00a0 It was broken up by referees and security.\u00a0 Back in the Impact Zone, Willie and Eric brawled out to the stage and to the ring.\u00a0 Eric fled to the stage, but Willie got on the mic and challenged Eric to a match.\u00a0 Willie said he would beat the breaks off Eric.\u00a0 Willie charged the stage and punched Eric all the way to the ring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) WILLIE MACK vs. ERIC YOUNG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Back inside the ring, Eric got an advantage by stomping Willie as he rolled into the ring.\u00a0 The bell finally sounded.\u00a0 Wille turned the tide with two spin kicks, followed by punches in the corner.\u00a0 Eric escaped to the outside and got the advantage by snapping Willie\u2019s neck over the top rope.\u00a0 Back inside, Eric took over with kicks.\u00a0 Willie reversed an Irish Whip and sent Eric over the top to the floor.\u00a0 Willie dove over the top rope onto Eric.\u00a0 Back in the ring, Willie attempted the first pin of the match and scored a two count.\u00a0 Willie punched Eric.\u00a0 Eric flipped over the ropes in the corner, ran to the other side (reminiscent of Ric Flair), and got to the top rope.\u00a0 Wille met him at the top.\u00a0 Eric bit Willie, sending him to the mat.\u00a0 Eric hit an elbow off the top rope for a two count.\u00a0 Eric with knees to Willie\u2019s back.\u00a0 He yelled \u201cYou\u2019re going to end up just like Rich\u201d.\u00a0 Eric got a two count after an elbow.\u00a0 Eric sat on the top rope and choked Willie.\u00a0 Willie caught Eric coming off the top rope and turned it into a Northern Lights Suplex.\u00a0 Eric rebounded and got a two count.\u00a0 Eric wrenched Willie\u2019s neck.\u00a0 The referee checked Willie\u2019s arm, but he showed signs of life, got to his feet, and elbowed Eric.\u00a0 Willie hit a dropkick, bodyslam, legdrop, Samoan drop, and a standing moonsault.\u00a0 Eric kicked out at two on a pin attempt.\u00a0 Eric blocked a stunner and raked Willie\u2019s eyes.\u00a0 Willie hit a stunner but looked around instead of going for the pin.\u00a0 He hesitated, then looked under the ring and got a chair.\u00a0 He put the chair over Eric\u2019s leg then climbed to the top.\u00a0 Eric got up and pushed Willie off the top and he fell into the ring.\u00a0 Eric hit a piledriver and scored the three count.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Eric Young in 8:30.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s analysis: Good match.\u00a0 Willie was strong as the guy who was going for revenge for his friend, but lost because of his overzealousness.\u00a0 Eric Young always puts on a good matches and this match makes me look forward to Rich Swann coming back to get his revenge).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Josh Matthews and Madison Rayne appeared on camera for the first time.\u00a0 They ran down the show.\u00a0 Madison called Josh an idiot for thinking Eric Young might accept the Eddie Edwards open challenge.\u00a0 Madison cut off Josh to say that her Locker Room Talk segment would be returning.\u00a0 Josh said \u201cThere\u2019s a reason that you\u2019re single\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>-The Good Brothers were backstage looking for Ace Austin and Madman Fulton.\u00a0 They ran into a security guy and Matt Striker.\u00a0 They roughed up the security guy and left to continue their search. [c]<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-774989686\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>-Opening credits for Wrestle House.\u00a0 Everyone was in the living room.\u00a0 Taya Valkyrie said that last week\u2019s makeovers with the grooming kits were a big hit.\u00a0 She had big news; after all the ballots had been counted, the house had voted to watch Taya\u2019s greatest hits.\u00a0 Kylie Rae raised her hand and politely asked if there had been electoral fraud.\u00a0 Taya told her the votes were for adults and she could sit down.\u00a0 Kylie sat and Taya said \u201cGood girl\u201d.\u00a0 Cody Deaner said that Jake Deaner had eaten something bad and had been on the \u201ccrapper\u201d all day.\u00a0 Alisha Edwards said Susie also had the runs.\u00a0 Cody and Alisha left the living room at the same time.\u00a0 Taya showed the rest of the cast her greatest hits video.\u00a0 As they watched, Taya got a shoulder massage from Johnny Bravo, but she made him put on gloves first.\u00a0 Everyone was bored watching the Taya matches.\u00a0 Johnny Swinger told Crazzy Steve a story about Lord Littlebrook.\u00a0 He encouraged Steve to go after Rosemary.\u00a0 A clip of Taya dropping Rosemary was shown on the screen.\u00a0 Steve sat down by Rosemary.\u00a0 She said they could get back together where they left off since their bond hadn\u2019t decayed (they used to form a team with Abyss called Decay).\u00a0 Steve said she seemed troubled and that jealousy could be quite the potent poison, as she looked at Taya and Bravo.\u00a0 Susie and Jake were shown separately getting ready for their date.<\/p>\n<p>-Reno Scum attacked Rhino (on behalf of Hernandez), but Rhino made a comeback.\u00a0 He got beat down again though.\u00a0 Reno Scum walked off with a roll of money.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) KIMBER LEE vs. JORDYNNE GRACE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Madison congratulated Kimber Lee on signing a new contract with Impact.\u00a0 After a lock up, Kimber Lee missed a kick, and took a shoulder block from Jordynne.\u00a0 Jordynne hit a clothesline and sidewalk slam for a two count.\u00a0 She whipped Kimber Lee into the corner.\u00a0 After a punch, Jordynne whipped Kimber Lee into the corner again hard.\u00a0 She tried again but the referee was in the way.\u00a0 Kimber Lee took over with a kick. [c]<\/p>\n<p>Kimber Lee put Jordynne in a modified single leg Boston Crab.\u00a0 She kicked Jordynne in the knee and back, then punched her in the corner.\u00a0 Jordynne blocked a suplex, then suplexed Kimber Lee.\u00a0 After two shoulder tackles and a spinebuster, Jordynne got a two count.\u00a0 They exchanged pin attempts.\u00a0 Kylie got a German Suplex for a two count.\u00a0 Kylie was on the top rope.\u00a0 Madison left the announce booth to get ready for her interview segment.\u00a0 They exchanged punches and Kimber Lee knocked Jordynne off the top rope.\u00a0 Kimber Lee missed a swanton bomb, then immediately tapped out to a sleeper from Jordynne.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Jordynne Grace in 6:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: Jordynne looked strong going into her rematch with Deonna Purrazzo.\u00a0 Kimber Lee lost for the second week in a row, but looked good.\u00a0 I think big things are in store for her).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Madison Rayne Locker Room Talk segment.\u00a0 Madison noted that her normal co-host Johnny Swinger was away at Wrestle House.\u00a0 She announced her first sponsor, which was Heath.\u00a0 He bought a 30 second ad.\u00a0 He called himself the hottest free agent.\u00a0 People throwing confetti, cheering, and fireworks were shown in the background.\u00a0 A #heath4impact graphic was on the lower third of the screen.\u00a0 His ad got cut off in mid-sentence because the 30 seconds were up.\u00a0 Madison said his money is as good as anyone\u2019s.\u00a0 Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes entered and took a seat on the sofa next to Madison.\u00a0 Madison said they were back in their natural state.\u00a0 Katie said she loves showing off her body.\u00a0 Her and RVD made out.\u00a0 Madison left.\u00a0 Katie and RVD noted they were alone and decided to interview each other.\u00a0 Katie asked RVD what was his favorite thing about her.\u00a0 He said she was fun and he liked her personality.\u00a0 RVD asked Katie what was the best thing about dating him.\u00a0 Sami\u2019s graphic came on the screen and he magically appeared in Madison\u2019s seat.\u00a0 Sami attacked RVD, but Katie sprayed his eyes.\u00a0 They stomped Sami and RVD punched him, then they left.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-334857374\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>-Dez and Wentz of the Rascalz were backstage chatting.\u00a0 Trey showed up with a Suicide mask.\u00a0 He said Acey shouldn\u2019t leave his stuff laying around.\u00a0 Moose bumped into Wentz, who was wearing a \u201cFree EC3\u201d jacket.\u00a0 Moose objected to it.\u00a0 Wentz got scared and took it off.\u00a0 Moose was holding a contract and talked to Trey (who he thought was Suicide).\u00a0 Moose told \u201cSuicide\u201d that he had beaten him twice and the third time was the charm, then wished him good luck.\u00a0 After Moose left, the Rascalz celebrated that Trey was getting a shot at the TNA title.\u00a0 Trey said to tell Acey best regards and handed the mask back to Dez.\u00a0 Dez threw the mask against the wall. [c]<\/p>\n<p>-WrestleHouse segment.\u00a0 The guests were in the living room watching more Taya matches (they watched matches with Taya against Jordynne Grace, Madison Rayne, and Rosemary).\u00a0 Rosemary looked over the guys in the living room and blew mist at Larry D.\u00a0 Alisha was upstairs getting Susie ready for the date with Jake.\u00a0 Alisha told her to say she had the runs so that she had an escape plan.\u00a0 Susie thanked her.\u00a0 In the dining room, Jake pulled the chair out for Susie and said he liked her dress.\u00a0 Jake didn\u2019t have a shirt on, so Susie said she liked his chest hair.\u00a0 They sat at the opposite ends of the table.\u00a0 Susie announced she had the runs.\u00a0 Jake nodded and smiled.\u00a0 Larry looked mesmerized by Rosemary.\u00a0 Acey said Larry was acting weird.\u00a0 After Larry said maybe there is more to life than food, he and Acey argued.\u00a0 Tommy Dreamer popped onscreen and screamed \u201cMatch Time!\u201d\u00a0 Taya questioned why the cast would want to watch \u201ctwo hamburgers wrestle when you have filet mignon on TV.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) ACEY ROMERO vs. LARRY D<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cody Deaner was the referee.\u00a0 Acey started with punches and a dropkick.\u00a0 He missed a splash and Larry kicked him in the head.\u00a0 They exchanged punches and Larry D knocked out Acey for the pin.\u00a0 Larry looked at Rosemary and said he did it for her.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Larry D in 1:30.<\/p>\n<p>-Deonna Purrazzo had a backstage interview.\u00a0 She said Jordynne Grace didn\u2019t act like a champion.\u00a0 Deonna challenged Jordynne to a 30 minute iron man match at Emergence.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package previewing the tag team title rematch between the Motor City Machine Guns and The North.\u00a0 Both teams talked about why they were the bests and they vowed to win.\u00a0 Alex Shelley said the MCMG returned to Impact for the North.\u00a0 Ethan Page said the MCMG are not better than The North.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.&#8217;s Analysis: Good intensity and really built anticipation for the rematch at Emergence).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) TASHA STEELZ &amp; KIERA HOGAN vs. HAVOC &amp; NEVAEH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tasha and Kiera entered the Impact Zone first but hid on the far end of the entrance stage.\u00a0 They attached Havok and Nevaeh as they walked down the ramp.\u00a0 Tasha hit Havok with a weapon, as Kiera and Nevaeh fought on the floor.\u00a0 Havok slammed Tasha from the top rope, then kicked her and dropped an elbow.\u00a0 Nevaeh beat up Kiera.\u00a0 Kiera grabbed Havoc\u2019s leg from the outside, which allowed Tasha to hit Havoc with a chair.\u00a0 Kiera and Tasha double teamed Havok.\u00a0 Nevaeh clotheslined Kiera and Tasha.\u00a0 Neveah and Havoc suplexed Tasha, who kicked out of a pin attempt.\u00a0 On the outside, Havoc accidentally charged into the ringpost.\u00a0 Neveah got a near fall on Tasha.\u00a0 Kiera and Tasha double teamed Neveah in the ring.\u00a0 Neveah eventually got a comeback.\u00a0 Havok kicked Kiera from the outside.\u00a0 Nevaeh German suplexed Kiera.\u00a0 Havok pulled a table from under the ring and set it up.\u00a0 All four wrestlers exchanged punches in the ring to the point of exhaustion.\u00a0 Kiera blocked a tombstone attempt from Havok.\u00a0 Havok suplexed Kiera and Tasha at the same time.\u00a0 Havok missed a charge and fell through the ropes.\u00a0 Tasha put Havok in a sleeper.\u00a0 Kiera drop kicked Havoc, who was on the ring apron and fell to the outside through the table she had set up earlier.\u00a0 Nevaeh attached Kiera and Tasha with a Reserved Parking sign.\u00a0 Kiera hit a crossroads on Nevaeh for the pin.\u00a0 Madison said that may have ended the rivalry between the teams.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Tasha Steelz &amp; Kiera Hogan in 8:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: This was all action and very good.\u00a0 Looking forward to seeing what\u2019s next for these four as they reset and take on new opponents.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-The Good Brothers talked with Scott D\u2019Amore as they were looking for Ace and Fulton.\u00a0 Scott said he was getting \u201cHall and Nash vibes\u201d tonight.<\/p>\n<p>-Moose was walking backstage when a video of EC3 was projected on the wall.\u00a0 EC3 said he was there for Moose and that he must destroy Moose.\u00a0 He said it wasn\u2019t a threat, but a declaration.\u00a0 \u201cYou have been warned\u201d.\u00a0 Moose looked around worried.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) SUICIDE vs. DEZ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wentz accompanied Dez to the ring.\u00a0 Dez took over early with chops, then punches in the corner.\u00a0 The Good Brothers walked to the ring.\u00a0 Doc hit Dez with the big boot.\u00a0 Karl Anderson threw Wentz over the top rope.\u00a0 The Good Brothers applied the Magic killer on Suicide and threw him out of the ring.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: No contest in 1:30.<\/p>\n<p>-The Good Brothers called out Ace and Fulton and said they weren\u2019t leaving until they came out.\u00a0 Ace and Fulton appeared on the entrance screen.\u00a0 Ace said \u201cHey there, new guys!\u201d\u00a0 Ace said he and Fulton weren\u2019t there and weren\u2019t even in the same state.\u00a0 He said Doc felt right at home in jail.\u00a0 Ace said they were waiting for the right time and that time would be at night one of Emergence.\u00a0 Fulton ended by saying \u201cbrothers\u201d.\u00a0 Doc yelled \u201cLet\u2019s do it at Emergence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>-Flashback Moment of the Week.\u00a0 Eddie Edwards victory over Cody Rhodes from the 10\/2\/16 episode of Impact.<\/p>\n<p>-Rohit Raju walked into Chris Bey\u2019s dressing room.\u00a0 Rohit devised a plan to be added to Chris\u2019 match against TJP so they could double team TJP.\u00a0 Bey said it was a good plan and decided to make it a three-way match.<\/p>\n<p>-Brian Myers vignette.\u00a0 The words \u201cbe a professional\u201d were repeated.\u00a0 Myers said \u201cI\u2019m Brian Myers and I\u2019m the most professional wrestler\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>-Wrestle House.\u00a0 Jake was at the dinner table.\u00a0 Susie came back into the room and said she had the runs.\u00a0 They said they enjoyed each other\u2019s company.\u00a0 Susie almost transformed into Su Yung and Jake ran out.\u00a0 Alisha asked Susie how the date went and where did it go wrong.\u00a0 Susie said maybe Alisha\u2019s advice was bad.\u00a0 Tommy Dreamer yelled \u201cMatch Time!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>(6) SUSIE vs. ALISHA EDWARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Crazzy Steve was the special referee.\u00a0 Susie said Alisha gave her bad advice and slapped her.\u00a0 They rolled around.\u00a0 Steve separated them.\u00a0 Susie attacked Alisha when Steve held her back.\u00a0 They clotheslined each other.\u00a0 Steve counted out of order.\u00a0 They exchanged punches.\u00a0 Alisha clotheslined Susie.\u00a0 Susie hit a series of elbows and rolled Alisha up for the pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Susie in 2:00.<\/p>\n<p>-Taya said it was enough of the amateur hour, but now it was time for the greatest match in history\u2014Taya winning the Knockouts title.\u00a0 Kylie said they were tired and wanted to go to sleep.\u00a0 Taya called her a loser.\u00a0 Susie pointed out that Kylie is the number one contender.\u00a0 Taya asked if Kylie had ever actually beaten a champion.\u00a0 Kylie got in the ring and challenged her.\u00a0 Dreamer almost called \u201cMatch Time\u201d but Rosemary cut him off.\u00a0 Taya said she was busy watching the best of Taya but they could have the match next week.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: The interaction between Taya and Kylie Rae is fun and they should have a really good match).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Madison said she wouldn\u2019t want to watch Taya\u2019s greatest hits either.\u00a0 Josh said Taya\u2019s greatest hits probably wasn\u2019t very long.\u00a0 They ran down next week\u2019s Emergence week one card.\u00a0 It is headlined by Deonna Purrazzo defending against Jordynne Grace in a 30 minute iron match plus Eddie Edward\u2019s open challenge (if he won tonight).<\/p>\n<p>-Eddie Edwards came to the ring. [c]<\/p>\n<p>-Eddie Edwards was disgusted with Eric Young\u2019s attack on Rich Swann last week and called out Eric to answer the open challenge.\u00a0 Brian Myers\u2019 music played and he came down the ramp.\u00a0 He said in Eddie\u2019s hands it was a belt, but in Brian\u2019s hands, it\u2019s a championship.\u00a0 He declared himself the most professional wrestler and accepted the open challenge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(7) EDDIE EDWARDS (c) vs. BRIAN MYERS \u2013 Impact Wrestling World Hvt. Title match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh ran down Brian\u2019s accomplishments, including being a former TNA tag team champion with Trevor Lee and a WWE tag team champion with Matt Cardona.\u00a0 Josh plugged the Myers\u2019 Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, including an on-screen graphic.\u00a0 Eddie and Brian locked up.\u00a0 Clean break by Eddie.\u00a0 They exchanged chops.\u00a0 Brian took a side headlock.\u00a0 Eddie with an elbow after a criss cross.\u00a0 Brian kicked out of a pin, then took over with kicks, punches, and a choke over the ropes.\u00a0 Eddie clotheslined him over the top. [c]<\/p>\n<p>Back from commercial, Brian was back in the ring and on offense.\u00a0 Eddie got a belly to belly suplex on Brian.\u00a0 He rolled outside but Eddie rolled him back in.\u00a0 Brian went on offense as Eddie tried to get back in the ring.\u00a0 Brian ran into the post outside.\u00a0 Eddie whipped Brian into the side of the ring.\u00a0 Brian hit elbows and knees, but Eddie kicked out of pin attempt.\u00a0 Brian put Eddie in a sleeper, but Eddie elbowed out.\u00a0 Brian slid out of the ring and tripped Eddie.\u00a0 Elbows by Brian, but Eddie kicked out of a pin.\u00a0 Brian with a chinlock.\u00a0 Brian missed a charge and was thrown outside.\u00a0 Eddie dove onto Brian on the outside but hit his knee on the rail.\u00a0 Back inside, Brian hit a suplex for a two count.\u00a0 Brian with a sleeper but Eddie got out.\u00a0 Eddie got whipped into the corner but came back with an elbow and a suplex into the turnbuckles.\u00a0 Both men were down.\u00a0 Eddie came back with chops but missed a charge.\u00a0 Eddie kicked Brian, who was on the top rope.\u00a0 Brian got a DDT for a two count.\u00a0 Brian ran into a superkick, then Eddie hit a forearm and a Tiger Driver for a two count.\u00a0 Eddie pulled down his kneepad but missed a Boston Knee Party.\u00a0 Brian connected with a kick, but Eddie rebounded and hit the Boston Knee Party for the pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Eddie Edwards in 12:00.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie stood on the ropes and celebrated to end the show.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FINAL THOUGHTS:<\/strong> Great debut by Brian Myers.\u00a0 He seemed like a totally different wrestler from his stint in WWE.\u00a0 His in-ring work was good and he was confident on the mic.\u00a0 He seems like a natural babyface to me, but I\u2019m really interested to see what he could do as a heel, now that he\u2019s not strapped with the ridiculous losing streak gimmick.\u00a0 The Eddie Edwards open challenges have delivered each week and are a highlight of the show.\u00a0 Overall a
