Cena is the main star\u00a0of the show, based on the trailer. Cena narrated and spoke throughout the trailer, making it clear he&#8217;s not just a background player hosting the show.<\/p>\n<p>Fox is marketing the new series as part of their post-American Idol series finale programming this spring, <a href=\"http:\/\/variety.com\/2016\/tv\/news\/foxs-john-cena-reality-show-american-grit-bones-fox-april-1201702598\/\" target=\"_blank\">reports Variety<\/a>. &#8220;Grit&#8221; will be a 10-episode series\u00a0rolling into the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Cena took time off at the end of 2015 to film the show in the woods of Washington state.
