{"id":10628,"date":"2016-02-11T09:33:19","date_gmt":"2016-02-11T15:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/?p=10628"},"modified":"2016-02-11T09:47:39","modified_gmt":"2016-02-11T15:47:39","slug":"2015fullyearearnings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2016\/02\/11\/2015fullyearearnings\/","title":{"rendered":"WWE EARNINGS &#8211; WWE reports record full-year 2015 revenue, returns to Net Gain, McMahon comments"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pwtor-4047125725\" class=\"pwtor-before-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><hr \/><b>SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)... <\/b>\r\n\r\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/widget.spreaker.com\/player?show_id=3076978&theme=light&playlist=false&playlist-continuous=false&autoplay=false&live-autoplay=false&chapters-image=true&episode_image_position=right&hide-logo=false&hide-likes=false&hide-comments=false&hide-sharing=false&hide-download=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"140px\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\r\n<hr \/><\/div><p>WWE reported Full-Year 2015 revenue of $658.8 million, which WWE said was the highest in company history.<\/p>\n<p>Total revenue was up more than $100 million (18 percent) from 2014 annual revenue of $542.6 million.<\/p>\n<p>WWE said the\u00a0Network and TV segments accounted for &#8220;nearly $100 million, or 85 percent&#8221; of the overall revenue growth.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_18_1_1_1455205407092_2652\">\u201cOur record revenue in 2015 reflected innovation across all of our businesses, which was highlighted by the successful execution of our network strategy,\u201d said WWE CEO\u00a0Vince McMahon. \u201cOver the next year, we will continue to focus on producing engaging content across all platforms, investing in emerging markets, and deploying technology across the enterprise to drive our long-term growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; WWE&#8217;s annual Operating Income was $68.7 million (10 percent of total revenue), which made WWE profitable again after reporting an operating loss of $11.6 million in 2014 due to the initial Network costs.<\/p>\n<p>WWE noted: &#8220;The $80.3 million increase was driven by the expansion of WWE Network\u00a0and the contractual escalation of television rights fees. Network segment OIBDA increased $50.2 million with significant growth in WWE Network\u00a0subscription revenue as well as lower network customer service and marketing costs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The annual revenue increase was driven by &#8220;record levels&#8221; from WWE Network, TV, Live Event, Venue Merchandise, and WWE Shop business.<\/p>\n<p>Included was record international revenue of $169.8 million (46 percent increase from 2014), mainly\u00a0from the increased availability of WWE Network.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-594741960\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Caldwell&#8217;s Analysis:\u00a0<\/strong>The numbers look good compared to 2014, which was a transition year trying to get the Network up and running. WWE will continue to see increases in TV Revenue throughout the life of their TV contracts, but the key will be avoiding a plateau in Network revenue and subscriptions.
