CRAZZY STEVE vs. TENILLE DASHWOOD &amp; KALEB WITH A K<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Steve and Kaleb started it off and the action quickly spilled to the floor with Steve getting the better of it.\u00a0 Kaleb tagged in Tenille to face off with Rosemary.\u00a0 Light crowd noise was piped in, which was an improvement over the usual quiet arena in Impact\u2019s pandemic era.\u00a0 Tenille got the upper hand over Rosemary then tagged out to Kaleb.\u00a0 Tenille and Kaleb tried to double team Rosemary, but Rosemary foiled it and made the tag to Steve.\u00a0 Kaleb got the upper hand on Steve and tagged Tenille, who had Steve in an armlock.<\/p>\n<p>Kaleb missed a moonsault off the top and Steve made the hot tag to Rosemary, who ran wild on Tenille.\u00a0 Steve and Rosemary double chokeslammed Kaleb.\u00a0 Rosemary speared Tenille, who rolled out.\u00a0 Kaleb kicked Rosemary.\u00a0 Tenille tried to use hairspray but the referee stopped it.\u00a0 Steve sprayed Tenille with mist.\u00a0 Rosemary sprayed Kaleb with mist, which Steve used to take advantage and DDT Kaleb off the ropes for a pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Rosemary &amp; Crazzy Steve in 9:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: Fun match to start the show.\u00a0 Lots of comedy but good action.\u00a0 The crowd noise helps the show).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Striker and D-Lo sat at ringside, plugged the Hard to Kill DVD and introduced the matches for tonight.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-903920328\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>-Kenny Omega, Don Callis, and the Good Brothers were shown entering the building and bullying a security guard.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package tracing the Eric Young\/Cody Deaner situation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) ERIC YOUNG &amp; JOE DOERING &amp; DEANER vs. TOMMY DREAMER &amp; RHINO &amp; COUSIN JAKE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Young\u2019s team is now called \u201cViolent by Design\u201d.\u00a0 All six wresters mixed it up in the ring at the start.\u00a0 Jake and Deaner finally squared off one on one in the ring.\u00a0 Jake got the early advantage and threw Deaner to the outside.\u00a0 Doering and Rhino faced off in the ring.\u00a0 A three-way split screen followed all the action for a bit.\u00a0 All six wrestlers ended up fighting on the floor.\u00a0 Striker and D-Lo talked up Doering\u2019s accomplishments and reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Back in the ring, Dreamer got the advantage with a flying cutter on Eric Young.\u00a0 Jake and Deaner continued to fight on the outside.\u00a0 Dreamer, Rhino, and Jake attacked Doering with chairs in the ring.\u00a0 Doering made a comeback and bit Dreamer, then hit him with a crossbody block.\u00a0 Young\u2019s team stood in the ring and started taking over.\u00a0 Deaner threw Cody through two chairs.\u00a0 Jake dove over the top rope onto Young and Doering.<\/p>\n<p>Doering suplexed Jake off the top rope right onto Dreamer.\u00a0 Rhino attacked Doering with a kendo stick but got chokeslammed.\u00a0 Doering broke the stick over his knee.\u00a0 Dreamer poured thumbtacks on the mat.\u00a0 Dreamer backdropped Young into the tacks.\u00a0 Rhino gored Doering.\u00a0 Deaner DDT\u2019d Rhino.\u00a0 Jake gave a Black Hole Slam to Deaner.\u00a0 Young piledrove Jake for the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Eric Young &amp; Joe Doering &amp; Deaner in 10:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: Good non-stop brawl.\u00a0 They did a great job of setting up Doering as a monster.\u00a0 The announcers did a good job of getting him and Dreamer over).<\/em><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2357764687\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>-Chris Sabin and Rich Swann were shown talking strategy in the dressing room.\u00a0 Moose entered and Swann asked if Moose expected Swann could trust him.\u00a0 Moose said he won a lot of football games with people he didn\u2019t like, but he would die for them on the field.\u00a0 Moose said he wouldn\u2019t let an outsider come in and take over.\u00a0 Moose said he would kick Omega\/Good Brother\u2019s ass all night long, like Swann had said last week.\u00a0 Swann and Sabin sat with Moose and agreed.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package showing Kiera &amp; Tasha and Havoc &amp; Nevaeh\u2019s road to the tournament finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) KIERA HOGAN &amp; TASHA STEELZ vs. HAVOC &amp; NEVAEH\u2014Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament final<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brian Hebner returned as the referee for this match.\u00a0 Havoc &amp; Neveah had the advantage at the start.\u00a0 Havoc ran wild on Kiera and Tasha, but she missed a legdrop, which turned the tide.\u00a0 Kiera and Tasha tagged in and out to keep the advantage on Havoc.\u00a0 Havoc tried to make a comeback, but she was cut off.\u00a0 Havoc powered out of a sleeper from Tasha and eventually made the hot tag to Nevaeh.<\/p>\n<p>Nevaeh took on Kiera and Tasha by herself.\u00a0 Striker talked up Nevaeh\u2019s Heartland Wrestling training from Les Thatcher.\u00a0 Havoc used power moves to keep the advantage.\u00a0 She missed a charge and got caught with a kick from Kiera.\u00a0 Tasha kicked Havoc in the head and Kiera got a two count.\u00a0 Tasha pulled Nevaeh\u2019s leg and pulled her out of the ring.\u00a0 Back in the ring, Tasha &amp; Kiera double teamed Neveah.\u00a0 Tasha landed her neckbreaker for the pin and the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Kiera Hogan &amp; Tasha Steelz in 10:00 to win the tag team titles.<\/p>\n<p>Gail Kim and Madison Rayne came out to present the belts to the winners.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis:\u00a0 All action and a great way to end a really fun tournament.\u00a0 Nice touch to have the legends come out to make this seem like a big deal).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Taya met up with Rosemary and Crazzy Steve backstage.\u00a0 Rosemary offered Steve\u2019s help to Taya for tonight.\u00a0 Taya accepted and said they would celebrate in Slam Town.\u00a0 They walked off.\u00a0 Acey Romero snuck into Taya\u2019s dressing room after they left.<\/p>\n<p>-Ace Austin came out with Madman Fulton.\u00a0 He was holding his Super X Cup trophy.\u00a0 He complained about not being on the show and called out Scott D\u2019Amore.\u00a0 Scott came out to the ramp.\u00a0 He said he had an opponent for Ace that is always ready.\u00a0 Matt Cardona walked out to the ring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) MATT CARDONA vs. ACE AUSTIN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They brawled at the start and went to the floor.\u00a0 Fulton interfered to turn the tide of the match.\u00a0 Ace missed a flip off the rope and Matt landed a flapjack and a clothesline, then boots in the corner.\u00a0 Fulton jumped in the ring and ran Matt\u2019s head into the turnbuckle.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Matt Cardona by DQ in 3:00<\/p>\n<p>Matt got double teamed but made his own comeback and cleared the ring.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: Cool surprise, but a lame finish.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t made clear if this was a one-time appearance or if Cardona would be a regular).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Video package showing the feud between Rohit Raju and Manik.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) MANIK (c) vs. CHRIS BEY vs. ROHI RAJU\u2014Impact Wrestling X Division Title match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All three wrestlers squared off, exchanging offense and the advantage.\u00a0 Striker talked up Bey\u2019s background and training.\u00a0 Rohit and Bey fought, but were joined by Manik.\u00a0 Rohit knocked Bey off the apron to the floor.\u00a0 Rohit got a two count on Manik.\u00a0 All three traded the advantage before the action spilled to the outside.<\/p>\n<p>Rohit got the best of Bey then threw Manik back in the ring.\u00a0 Rohit went for the mask and pulled it off.\u00a0 Manik revealed that his face was painted.\u00a0 He DDT\u2019d Rohit and tried to dive off the top, but Bey caught him with a great cutter.\u00a0 Rohit broke up Bey\u2019s pin attempt.\u00a0 Manik rolled out, leaving Rohit and Manik to go at it in the ring.\u00a0 Rohit had Bey tied up upside down in the corner, but Manik recovered and got in offense on both wrestlers.<\/p>\n<p>With Bey down, Rohit got a series of kicks on Manik but couldn\u2019t get the pin.\u00a0 All three wrestlers were down.\u00a0 Manik landed a spike DDT on Bey.\u00a0 Bey kicked out of a crucifix bomb from Manik.\u00a0 Rohit kicked Manik in the head and got a two count on Bey.\u00a0 Rohit landed a double stomp to Bey then had Manik in a crossface submission.\u00a0 Bey broke it up.\u00a0 Rohit got an inside cradle for a two count on Bey.\u00a0 Manik rolled up Rohit out of nowhere for a pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Manik in 13:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: Excellent X Division style match that was all-action).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Eddie Edwards and Alisha talked backstage.\u00a0 Alisha wanted to come out to the ring, but Eddie made her promise not to come out.\u00a0 She promised she wouldn\u2019t go out to the ring.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package showing the feud between Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(6) DEONNA PURRAZZO (w\/Kimber Lee &amp; Susan) (c) vs. TAYA VALKYRIE (w\/Rosemary &amp; Crazzy Steve)\u2014Impact Wrestling Knockouts Title match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They took it to the outside early.\u00a0 Kimber Lee held Taya back, which started a brawl.\u00a0 Susan was recording Steve on her phone.\u00a0 Steve knocked the referee down.\u00a0 The referee sent Steve, Rosemary, Susan, and Kimber Lee to the back.\u00a0 The action resumed in the ring, with Taya chopping Deonna.\u00a0 Deonna made a comeback with kicks, then she worked Taya\u2019s arm.\u00a0 Taya made a comeback but still sold her arm.<\/p>\n<p>Deonna hit a Russian Leg Sweep and resumed working on the arm.\u00a0 Deonna used kicks to take Taya down.\u00a0 Deonna put Taya in a kneebar.\u00a0 Taya made a comeback, including getting a spear for a two count.\u00a0 She still sold her arm.\u00a0 Deonna dropkicked Taya\u2019s knee, but Taya came back with a back suplex.\u00a0 Taya hit a curb stomp and a submission, but Deonna made the ropes.\u00a0 They traded punches.\u00a0 Deonna caught Taya in an armbar and eventually a double armbar, which made Taya submit.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Deonna Purrazzo in 11:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: Match of the night so far.\u00a0 It\u2019s a treat to see Deonna\u2019s career path in the last year.\u00a0 Taya was great as well.\u00a0 Looking forward to Deonna\u2019s next challenger and feud).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Acey Romero and John E. Bravo were backstage.\u00a0 Acey revealed that he found the Ring Rust cologne in the Knockouts locker room.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package showing Ethan Page\u2019s background with the Karate Man.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(7) ETHAN PAGE vs. KARATE MAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Karate Man is Page\u2019s alter ego.\u00a0 This was a cinematic match.\u00a0 It used special effects and editing to show them fighting each other in front of different backgrounds.\u00a0 Karate Man ripped out Page\u2019s heart to \u201cwin\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Karate Man in 3:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis:\u00a0 This was better suited for the TV show or on the website.\u00a0 It was intentionally cheesy and totally played for laughs.\u00a0 Not my cup of tea.\u00a0 At least it was short).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Don Callis approached Moose backstage.\u00a0 Callis kissed up to Moose and noted that Moose had another couple of years on his Impact contract.\u00a0 He said that he and Moose needed to get on the same page and that he didn\u2019t want to see things get out of hand.\u00a0 He told Moose to \u201cbrother it up\u201d tonight.\u00a0 Moose said he always plays to win and after he wins tonight, he is going after the Impact title and maybe he will show up in AEW and take Callis\u2019 \u201ckid\u2019s\u201d title.\u00a0 Moose walked off.\u00a0 Callis yelled \u201cwe still have two years together!\u201d, then muttered \u201cshit\u201d to himself.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package showing the feud between Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(8) SAMI CALLIHAN vs. EDDIE EDWARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ring had one side with a barbed wire cage wall and there were weapons and barbed wire on the other sides.\u00a0 Both wrestlers were cautious at the start.\u00a0 Sami was first to get thrown into the barbed wire.\u00a0 Eddie wrapped barbed wire around Sami\u2019s head, which drew blood.\u00a0 Eddie tried to push Sami onto a barbed wire board but Sami managed to slide the board out of the ring.\u00a0 Eddie dove out of the ring, but flew right into a barbed wire board.<\/p>\n<p>Sami continued the attack on the floor.\u00a0 Back in the ring, Sami stayed aggressive and on the attack.\u00a0 Eddie was bleeding from the head.\u00a0 Sami rolled barbed wire across Eddie\u2019s head and hit him with a video game controller wrapped in barbed wire.\u00a0 Eddie made a comeback with a backpack stunner.\u00a0 They traded the advantage.\u00a0 They landed punches at the same time and knocked each other down. Eddie had a bat wrapped in barbed wire and Sami had a kendo stick wrapped in barbed wire.\u00a0 They traded the weapons then attacked each other.<\/p>\n<p>Sami knocked Eddie throat-first onto barbed wire.\u00a0 Sami piledrove Eddie through a board but only got a two count.\u00a0 Eddie fired up.\u00a0 Eddie landed a Boston Knee Party with a chair, but only got a one count.\u00a0 Eddie slammed Sami onto a barbed wire chair for the pin and the victory.\u00a0 Alisha came in the ring afterwards and tended to Eddie.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Eddie Edwards in 20:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: This was pretty brutal and gory.\u00a0 A good match if you\u2019re into this style).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Video package showing the lead-up events to the main event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(9) RICH SWANN &amp; CHRIS SABIN &amp; MOOSE vs. KENNY OMEGA &amp; DOC GALLOWS &amp; KARL ANDERSON (w\/Don Callis)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Callis handled the (over-the-top) ring introductions for Omega.\u00a0 Omega made his entrance wearing a Bullet Club t-shirt (the Halloween version).\u00a0 Striker speculated that it probably made the Impact wrestlers angry that Omega had his own dressing room.\u00a0 Sabin and Anderson locked up to start it off.\u00a0 Sabin armdragged Anderson.\u00a0 Sabin and Anderson traded moves until Moose and Gallows tagged in.\u00a0 They traded punches.\u00a0 Omega and Swann tagged in.<\/p>\n<p>They locked up.\u00a0 Swann was attacked from behind by the Good Brothers.\u00a0 Omega choked Swann with his t-shirt, then tagged out to Anderson.\u00a0 Swann got the advantage over Anderson then tagged in Sabin.\u00a0 Team Impact triple teamed Anderson.\u00a0 Moose landed an impressive standing moonsault.<\/p>\n<p>The Good Brothers worked on Sabin.\u00a0 Omega got a backbreaker on Sabin.\u00a0 Anderson had Sabin in a headlock.\u00a0 Sabin fought his way out, then Anderson and Sabin clotheslined each other.\u00a0 Omega and Swann went at it.\u00a0 Swann hit a Frankensteiner on Omega, who was on the top rope.\u00a0 The match broke down and all six wrestlers fought.\u00a0 Swann flipped onto Omega on the outside.\u00a0 Sabin flipped onto Anderson.<\/p>\n<p>Swann rolled Omega back in the ring.\u00a0 Anderson tagged in and took over on Swann.\u00a0 Gallows tagged in and slammed Swann.\u00a0 Omega tagged in to continue the advantage.\u00a0 He got a leg lariat on Swann, then tagged Gallows in.\u00a0 They hit a triple splash on Swann.\u00a0 Sabin broke up the pin.\u00a0 Omega tagged back in and taunted Swann.\u00a0 He pulled Swann back to his team\u2019s corner.\u00a0 Swann escaped with a kick to the head and tagged Moose.\u00a0 Moose ran wild on Omega and the Good Brothers.\u00a0 Moose dropkicked Gallows off the top rope.\u00a0 Team Impact landed a triple kick to Omega.\u00a0 Moose got a two count on Omega.<\/p>\n<p>Omega and the Good Brothers took over on Sabin.\u00a0 Omega got a two count on Sabin.\u00a0 Omega power bombed Sabin for a two count.\u00a0 Omega went for the V-trigger but was cut off by Moose.\u00a0 Omega got a V-trigger on Swann.\u00a0 Moose caught Omega with a tremendous Spanish Fly off the top.\u00a0 Sabin slammed Omega, but Anderson broke up the pin.\u00a0 Gallows got a shin kick on Sabin.\u00a0 Sabin made a tag to Swann as Gallows tagged Omega.<\/p>\n<p>They exchanged punches back and forth.\u00a0 Omega got a suplex and piledriver on Swann, but the pin was broken up.\u00a0 Omega and Swann fought on the top rope.\u00a0 Omega put Moose on his shoulders, but Moose reversed it, and Swann hit a doomsday device on Omega.\u00a0 Swann slugged Omega.\u00a0 Omega got a V-trigger.\u00a0 Swann fought back and went for his 450 splash, but only got a two count.\u00a0 The Good Brothers hit the Magic Killer on Swann.\u00a0 Omega covered but Moose broke up the pin.\u00a0 Omega got a V-trigger on Moose then on Swann.\u00a0 Omega got a one-winged angel on Swann for the pin.\u00a0 Omega\u2019s team celebrated up the ramp afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Kenny Omega &amp; Doc Gallows &amp; Karl Anderson in 20:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Analysis: A great, action-packed match that lived up to the hype.\u00a0 Everyone had their working shoes on and were at their best.\u00a0 Omega was in for a good portion of the match.\u00a0 I would have preferred to see an upset win from Team Impact, but I guess that wasn\u2019t going to happen.\u00a0 I was happy that we didn\u2019t get the tired \u201cMoose turns heel on his team\u201d ending, so points for that.\u00a0 I thought that Moose was the star of the match).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>FINAL THOUGHTS:<\/strong> \u00a0This was a really good show that had a little bit of everything (X Division action, good technical wrestling, brawling, comedy, surprises, and star power).\u00a0 I was cautious about Matt Striker as the lead announcer, but I have to give credit where it\u2019s due: he was solid and added to the presentation.\u00a0 I liked D-Lo as a color commentator.\u00a0 The crowd noise worked as well.\u00a0 The main event lived up to its billing.\u00a0 It was still surreal to see Kenny Omega in an Impact ring.\u00a0 The main event and the Knockouts match were the best matches of the night.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pwtor-end-article-groups pwtor-entity-placement\" id=\"pwtor-418581972\"><div id=\"pwtor-2344919862\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\nTHANK YOU FOR VISITING<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>IMPACT WRESTLING HARD TO KILL 2021 PPV REPORT JANUARY 16, 2021 NASHVILLE, TENN.
