That is the question for Drew McIntyre regarding whether or not he knew how parts of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2021\/03\/15\/3-15-wwe-monday-night-raw-results-kellers-report-on-riddles-u-s-title-defense-against-ali-new-day-challenge-cedric-shelton-for-raw-tag-titles-latest-fastlane-developments\/\">Monday Night Raw promo<\/a> might be construed after the fact.\u00a0In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/alfredkonuwa\/2021\/03\/17\/drew-mcintyre-talks-apparent-shot-at-aew-leg-slapping-wwe-peacock-and-more\/\">an interview with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes<\/a>, Drew McIntyre addressed the promo and talked a little about the writing process regarding his character.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everyone seems to think \u2018writers are gonna put all this together,\u2019\u201d they don\u2019t. Drew McIntyre\u2019s out there, and I\u2019ve got no idea what I\u2019m gonna say and I kind of say how I feel,\u201d McIntyre said. \u201cI saw [MVP] saying the \u201cguarantee\u201d thing, and I thought to myself \u2018everyone always says guarantee, and when you say guarantee you really gotta back up that, you\u2019ve gotta deliver on your guarantees. What can I say out there that I can guarantee? Sheamus and I are literally going to beat the absolute hell out of each other, and it\u2019s gonna hurt. I might as well tell the truth. I went out there, I said that, and I [heard] \u2018sparks fly\u2019 come out my mouth. I didn\u2019t think twice about it, I just rolled right through it, I said my whole interview and watched the match ringside\u2014which was an awesome match\u2014and I came back, and somebody came up to me and said \u2018I saw what you did there.\u2019 \u2018What did I do?\u2019 And then they played it out to me and I went \u2018oh, yeah, that could be taken that way,\u2019\u201d McIntyre said.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, McIntyre told Konuwa that he thinks back and forth digs like that one isn&#8217;t good for business. \u201cMaybe subconsciously I made a joke&#8230;I don\u2019t like that shot back-and-forth stuff, I don\u2019t see the point, it\u2019s not good for business,&#8221; McIntyre said.<\/p>\n<p>On this week&#8217;s episode of Monday Night Raw, McIntyre walked to the ring and cut a promo addressing the guarantees that MVP made earlier in the night. It was in that promo that he referenced sparks flying and not making a good on guarantees &#8211; a clear jab at AEW guaranteeing an explosion at the Revolution PPV and delivering only sparks.<\/p>\n<p>Drew McIntyre is set to face Sheamus at Sunday&#8217;s WWE Fastlane PPV event.
