AT SKYWAY STUDIOS<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>AIRED ON AXS TV<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>REPORT BY DARRIN LILLY, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Commentators: Matt Striker, D\u2019Lo Brown<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) TAYLOR WILDE vs. TENILLE DASHWOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to storms in the area, I joined this match in progress.\u00a0 The action was back and forth.\u00a0 These two were given more time than usual and had a good match.\u00a0 Tenille was in serious mode.\u00a0 Kaleb tried to interfere.\u00a0 While the referee was distracted, Madison Rayne ran in out of nowhere and attacked Taylor.\u00a0 Tenille gave Taylor the Spotlight Kick and got the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Tenille Dashwood in 13:00.<\/p>\n<p>Madison and Tenille hugged afterwards.\u00a0 The announcers were puzzled.<\/p>\n<p>-D\u2019Lo and Striker plugged tomorrow\u2019s Kenny Omega vs. Christian Cage match on AEW Rampage. [c]<\/p>\n<p>-Video package on tonight\u2019s 20 man battle royal to decide a number one contender.<\/p>\n<p>-D\u2019Lo and Josh plugged the matches for tonight.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-1079856424\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><strong>(2) JOSH ALEXANDER vs. DAIVARI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This was a non-title match.\u00a0 After some back and forth action, Jake Something walked to the stage to take a look at the action. [c]<\/p>\n<p>Back from the break, Alexander had the upper hand and stomped Daivari.\u00a0 The action spilled to the floor with both wrestlers trading the advantage.\u00a0 Daivari took control of the match once they were back in the ring.\u00a0 Josh made a comeback and got Daivari in an ankle lock.\u00a0 Fans chanted \u201cWalking Weapon\u201d.\u00a0 Daivari battled back and got a DDT for a two count.\u00a0 Alexander gave Daivari a series of German Suplexes, then put him away with the piledriver.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Josh Alexander in 11:00.<\/p>\n<p>Jake entered the ring and held the title belt.\u00a0 He gave it to Alexander and they had a brief staredown before Jake left the ring.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Take: Brief but solid match.\u00a0 Alexander continues his dominance.\u00a0 This push looks to be building to something).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Video package of tomorrow\u2019s Kenny Omega vs. Christian Cage match.\u00a0 Tony Schiavone did the narration, followed by clips of Sami Callihan, Ace Austin, Deonna Purrazzo, Jim Ross, and Brian Myers talking about the match. [c]<\/p>\n<p>-Good Brothers promo.\u00a0 They talked about Emergence and defending the belts against Violent by Design and Rich Swann &amp; Willie Mack.\u00a0 The lights flickered.\u00a0 Eric Young and Violent by Design confronted the Good Brothers.\u00a0 Doc asked which members they would be fighting.\u00a0 Doc and Joe Doering got in each other\u2019s faces.\u00a0 Doc challenged Doering to a match.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-1693579092\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>-Kiera Hogan walked to the ring.\u00a0 Striker said this wasn\u2019t scheduled.\u00a0 A clip was shown of Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans attacking Kiera last week.\u00a0 Fans cheered for Kiera.\u00a0 Kiera said that Fire N Flava were supposed to be better than that.\u00a0 She addressed Tasha Steelz directly.\u00a0 Kiera said she thought Kiera understood her more than anyone and accused her of getting someone to do her dirty work.\u00a0 Kiera challenged Tasha and her \u201cgoofy friend\u201d to come to the ring.\u00a0 Su Yung\u2019s music played instead.\u00a0 Su Yung and Kimber Lee (now wearing face paint as well) walked to the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Lee got in the ring and attacked Kiera.\u00a0 Kiera fought back.\u00a0 Su stood on the ramp and pulled out her glove.\u00a0 Lee had a glove of her own and put the Mandible Claw on Kiera.\u00a0 Lee dragged Kiera by the hair up the ramp and to the back.\u00a0 Su smiled then walked backstage too. [c]<\/p>\n<p>-Don Callis and Kenny Omega backstage promo.\u00a0 Callis complained about Christian Cage being granted an Impact title match.\u00a0 Omega called it skullduggery.\u00a0 Callis said that Scott D\u2019Amore and Tony Khan were plotting together.\u00a0 Callis vowed to have the Impact title for the rest of their lives.\u00a0 Omega said Scott and Tony could use their daddy\u2019s money to buy competition but he would keep the title.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) JAY WHITE &amp; CHRIS BEY vs. FINJUICE (David Finlay &amp; Juice Robinson)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>White and Finlay locked up to start.\u00a0 Finlay caught White with a dropkick.\u00a0 The action spilled to the floor.\u00a0 White had the advantage once they were back in the ring.\u00a0 Bey tagged in and stomped Finlay.\u00a0 Finlay caught Bey with a back elbow then tagged Juice.\u00a0 Juice kept the advantage over Bey.\u00a0 Bey dropped an elbow on Juice, who was on the second rope.\u00a0 White rammed Juice into the ring apron, then threw him back in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Bey and White tagged in and out to keep the advantage on Juice.\u00a0 Juice made a comeback and made the hot tag to Finlay.\u00a0 Finjuice hit the Doomsday Device on Bey.\u00a0 Juice went for the pin, but White attacked Finjuice with a chair for the DQ.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Finjuice in 9:00 by DQ.<\/p>\n<p>White gave Finlay the Blade Runner on the chair after the match.\u00a0 Striker plugged their upcoming match on NJPW Resurgence.<\/p>\n<p>-Gia Miller interviewed Tasha Steelz with Savannah Evans.\u00a0 Gia asked Tasha why she attacked Kiera.\u00a0 Tasha said it got too hot for Kiera so she had to make some changes.\u00a0 Fallah Bahh walked in.\u00a0 He said he needed their help with Rosemary and Havok.\u00a0 Tasha said she had a problem with them too\u2014they are holding her titles. [c]<\/p>\n<p>-Gia Miller interviewed Melina.\u00a0 Melina said she was grateful to be there.\u00a0 Deonna Purrazzo walked up and mocked her.\u00a0 Deonna showed footage of her training with MMA fighter Alesha Zappitella.\u00a0 Deonna called the footage magnificent.\u00a0 Melina said she was impressed.\u00a0 Melina said next week she would have a match so that Deonna would see what was in store for her.<\/p>\n<p>-Alex Marvez interviewed Christian Cage.\u00a0 Christian said he and Kenny Omega would get to know each other very well over the next month.\u00a0 He vowed to win the Impact title.\u00a0 He said he would be back in the Impact Zone and talked about his history in Impact.\u00a0 He wanted to come back to the Impact Zone as World Champion.\u00a0 He wished luck to all of the wrestlers in the battle royal.\u00a0 He ended by saying \u201cif you don\u2019t know, now you know.\u201d [c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) MATT CARDONA vs. JOHN SKYLER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cardona caught Skyler with a dropkick at the bell.\u00a0 Cardona followed with a clothesline.\u00a0 The announcers talked up Skyler.\u00a0 Cardona got Sklyer with a flapjack, then clotheslined him over the top rope.\u00a0 They fought at ringside.\u00a0 Fans chanted \u201cAlways ready\u201d.\u00a0 Cardona threw Skyler out of the ring again and caught him with a dropkick.\u00a0 Back in the ring, Sklyer made a comeback.\u00a0 Cardona came back with a dropkick off the ropes.<\/p>\n<p>Cardona clotheslined Skyler.\u00a0 Rohit Raju and Shera walked to ringside.\u00a0 Cardona knocked them off the apron.\u00a0 Skyler hit a jumping knee on Cardona then rolled him up for a pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: John Skyler in 5:00.<\/p>\n<p>Rohit and Shera celebrated up the ramp.\u00a0 The announcers made a big deal about the upset.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Take: Good back and forth action.\u00a0 Skyler made a good showing).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-D\u2019Lo and Striker plugged the matches for next week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Melina in action<\/li>\n<li>Doc Gallows vs. Joe Doering<\/li>\n<li>The winner of Omega vs. Christian will be in the building next week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>-Eddie Edwards made his ring entrance. [c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) 20-MAN BATTLE ROYAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This match was to decide a number one contender for the Impact World Title.\u00a0 Sami Callihan was the last to enter.\u00a0 Suicide was the first person eliminated.\u00a0 Johnny Swinger was the next one out.\u00a0 Both were eliminated by W. Morrissey.\u00a0 Morrissey took out Hernandez next. A bunch of wrestlers attacked Morrissey but he threw them off.\u00a0 The fans chanted for Moose.\u00a0 Moose joined the group and they threw out Morrissey.\u00a0 [c]<\/p>\n<p>Steve Maclin ran to ringside, which led to Petey Williams being eliminated.\u00a0 Deaner was on the verge of being thrown out, but he saved himself.\u00a0 Rich Swann eventually eliminated him.\u00a0 Swann and Rhino got thrown out.\u00a0 Willie Mack was thrown out.\u00a0 Ace and No Way battled.\u00a0 Madman Fulton threw out No Way.\u00a0 Fallah Bahh threw out Fulton.\u00a0 Moose threw out Bahh.\u00a0 Brian Myers threw Sam Beale into Trey Miguel to eliminate him.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie got the Backpack Stunner on Myers.\u00a0 Sam Beale made the save.\u00a0 Eddie chopped Beale hard.\u00a0 Moose knocked Eddie off the top rope to the floor.\u00a0 Sabin and Moose went under the bottom rope and brawled on the floor.\u00a0 Myers threw out Beale.\u00a0 Sami kicked Myers low and gave him a piledriver.\u00a0 Ace Austin and Sami battled on the ring apron.\u00a0 Sami clotheslined Ace off of Fulton\u2019s shoulders to eliminate him.\u00a0 Moose kicked Sami to send him to the floor.\u00a0 Moose and Sabin battled in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Fans chanted \u201cThis is awesome\u201d.\u00a0 Sabin had Moose in a sleeper hold.\u00a0 Myers snuck\u00a0up from behind and threw out Moose and Sabin at the same time and was declared the winner.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Brian Myers in 18:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.\u2019s Take: As far as battle royals go, this was decent.\u00a0 Myers makes a curious choice as the winner.\u00a0 At the least, the skits with Myers and Beale should be fun).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>FINAL THOUGHTS:<\/strong> A fun watch that went by pretty fast.\u00a0 Not the most newsworthy show, but the action was good and they made the Christian vs. Omega match into a big deal.\u00a0 Myers emerging as the number one contender could be really fun.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pwtor-end-article-groups pwtor-entity-placement\" id=\"pwtor-3434610713\"><div id=\"pwtor-3666261491\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\nTHANK YOU FOR VISITING<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>IMPACT WRESTLING TV REPORT AUGUST 12, 2021 (RECORDED) NASHVILLE, TENN.
