He made his NXT debut on the very first episode of NXT 2.0 and has been positioned as the top act in the post Triple H, black and gold era of the brand.<\/p>\n<p>Breakker defeated Tommaso Ciampa to win his first NXT Championship at New Year&#8217;s Evil in January of this year. Breakker would lose the title in a triple threat match with both Ciampa and Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler won the title after pinning Ciampa. On the subject of winning his first NXT Championship, Breakker said it was surreal in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2022\/01\/06\/bron-breakker-talks-winning-the-nxt-championship-changing-of-the-nxt-guard-more\/\">CBS Sports<\/a>. \u201cIt was a surreal moment,\u201d Breakker said. \u201cI\u2019ll remember that for the rest of my life. The Undertaker headlined this year&#8217;s class.<\/p>\n<p>In early March, it was reported that Breakker was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2022\/03\/10\/bron-breakker-reportedly-on-fast-track-to-main-roster\/\">on the fast track<\/a> to the WWE main roster.
