Let’s take a stroll down memory lane and relive some of the madness.

-Pretty Deadly has a high upside in NXT 2.0 and for WWE as a whole. They have good looks, can talk, and can go in the ring. All signs point to these guys sticking at this point.

-Let’s get the Bron Breakker and Joe Gacy stuff out of the way now, shall we? What a miss. A miss and a miss on multiple levels. Joe Gacy is a confused character. Is it about being a horror movie villain and second coming of Funhouse Bray Wyatt? Or is it PC Joe Gacy? We’ve seen both and neither are good, but he needs to stay in a lane. As for Breakker, he wasn’t good while being asked to act and sell for Gacy’s ridiculousness. Breakker’s star power comes from his intensity. The silly vignettes we saw this week eliminated that strength. Look, in the middle of the card, the Gacy stuff is fine. Main event, though? No.

-Tiffany Stratton vs. Sarray? Yep, that happened.

-Grayson Waller and Sanga now at odds feels out of the blue, but was the absolute right call to make. They didn’t have chemistry and Waller is stronger as a standalone act.

-The feud we need to see is Cora Jade vs. Roxanne Perez. Winner takes the “I’m a fan turned wrestler” gimmick and runs. Perez has the higher upside thus far and showed it during her match this week. Just a more complete project than Jade at this point.

-Great stuff between Carmelo Hayes and Santos Escobar. Good chemistry and a good match. Escobar is ready for the main roster and Hayes won’t be too far behind him.

-Natalya is a good addition to the NXT roster. Lots of directions for her to go as the veteran heel on the show.

-Wes Lee is in a really rough spot. He lost his tag team partner, which sends the MSK act to the depths. He’s essentially starting over as a singles act. The promo this week worked well and sounded good, but a three-minute loss to Xyon Quinn doesn’t scream that he’s in line for any kind of push.

-Duke Hudson and Dexter Lumis take a loss in their first real tag match together. Ahhh, the world is right again.

CATCH-UP: HEYDORN’S RAW RECEIPT 4/18: Cody Rhodes continues to thrive as focal point of the show

THANK YOU FOR VISITING

This week’s episode of NXT 2.0 has wrapped.
