McMahon is staying on as the head of creative for the company, but Stephanie McMahon is stepping in as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2022\/06\/17\/stephanie-mcmahon-makes-first-public-statement-since-being-named-interim-wwe-ceo\/\">interim CEO and Chairwoman<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Mr. McMahon will appear on SmackDown tonight at 8 PM ET live on FOX. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6XEEDwR0Hy\">pic.twitter.com\/6XEEDwR0Hy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; WWE (@WWE) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWE\/status\/1537786958533079043?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 17, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Vince McMahon has appeared on WWE television this year in the lead up to WrestleMania. At WrestleMania, McMahon was in the corner of Theory as he took on Pat McAfee. After that match, McMahon defeated McAfee in his own match.<\/p>\n<p>This week&#8217;s Smackdown was already slated to be a big show. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2022\/06\/13\/stipulation-announced-for-fridays-wwe-universal-championship-match\/\">Roman Reigns is scheduled to return and face Riddle for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship<\/a>. Reigns won the undisputed crown after beating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. This is his first defense of that title since winning it in early April.<\/p>\n<p>Reigns has been off television in recent weeks.
