They also revealed a key piece of criticism that was given to them by Vince McMahon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat night was a culmination of a journey that\u2019s been ongoing for more than 30 years,\u201d Harwood said. \u201cI was watching the King of the Ring pay-per-view 29 years ago, where I got to see Bret Hart wrestle three matches and tell three different stories that night. That\u2019s also the night I told my mother I was going to be a pro wrestler.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know who I am. I don\u2019t have the total package\u2014I\u2019m not tall, I don\u2019t have the body, I have a southern accent. Overcoming all those odds and getting to perform with my hero\u2014not just my favorite wrestler, but my lifetime hero\u2014it was the greatest night of my career. If you saw me smiling, it\u2019s because I couldn\u2019t hide that look on my face.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the match was over, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/wrestling\/2022\/06\/15\/ftr-dax-harwood-cash-wheeler-bret-hart-indie-match\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harwood said he thought about<\/a> all the great moments of his career, but that one specific things stuck in his head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat night, in the ring, I was thinking about the moment and how much it meant to me,&#8221; Harwood said. &#8220;I thought about all the WrestleManias we\u2019ve worked, all the titles we\u2019ve won, all the towns we\u2019ve traveled. I was hit with this thought. It was from a night we wrestled in WWE, and waiting in Gorilla for us after the match was Vince McMahon. He had his hands in his pockets and said to us, \u2018Everyone says you\u2019re the next great tag team. But you know what I see? The problem with you guys is you\u2019re just professional wrestlers.\u2019 That night in the ring, standing next to Bret, I thought to myself, \u2018Damn right, I\u2019m a professional wrestler. I\u2019m a great professional wrestler, and look at where my life is right now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harwood lost to Will Ospreay on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2022\/06\/15\/6-15-aew-dynamite-results-kellers-report-on-moxley-tanahashi-face-to-face-ospreay-vs-dax-jericho-vs-ortiz-hair-match\/\">this week&#8217;s episode of AEW Dynamite<\/a>.
