AT THE NASHVILLE FAIRGROUNDS<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>AIRED LIVE ON FITE TV<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>REPORT BY DARRIN LILLY, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Intro video package showing highlights from 20 years of Impact.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) ACE AUSTIN (c) vs. TREY MIGUEL vs. ANDREW EVERETT vs. KENNY KING vs. ALEX ZAYNE vs. MIKE BAILEY &#8211; Ultimate X Match for the Impact Wrestling X Division Title<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everett was a late substitute\u00a0for Jack Evans, who wasn&#8217;t medically cleared.\u00a0 All the wrestlers fought at the start.\u00a0 King and Everett climbed early.\u00a0 Bailey and Zayne did high flying moves to the outside.\u00a0 Everett gave Trey a German suplex on the apron, then followed with a twisting dive to the outside.\u00a0 Bailey did Ultimo Weapon on three wrestlers.<\/p>\n<p>Fans chanted &#8220;Speedball&#8221;.\u00a0 After a Tower of Doom spot, Trey gave Zayne a Canadian Destroyer from the top rope.\u00a0 Four of the wrestlers climbed the structure.\u00a0 Bailey gave Everett a headscissors from the top.\u00a0 Bailey and Ace were on the top fighting it out.\u00a0 Bailey kicked Ace down.\u00a0 Bailey pulled himself to the top of the structure and unhooked the belt to win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Mike Bailey in 10:00 to win the X Division Title.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.&#8217;s Take: A really good action-packed match,\u00a0but seemed a little short to\u00a0me.\u00a0 Everyone got the spotlight and had a chance to shine.\u00a0 The announcers stressed that it took Bailey five years to reach this moment.\u00a0 Great start to the show).<\/em><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2110513382\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>-Hannifan and Rehwoldt appeared on camera and ran down the matches for the show.\u00a0 They talked about the influence of Bob Ryder and a graphic showed his photo.\u00a0 Hannifan said the broadcast was dedicated to him.\u00a0 He introduced the French announce team next to them.<\/p>\n<p>-Scott Hudson did a backstage interview with the Motor City Machine Guns, Frankie Kazarian, and Nick Aldis.\u00a0 Hudson said that the Guns were named as the most Impactful tag team in a fan poll.\u00a0 The Guns talked about the history of tag teams in the company and that they wanted to defend the history.\u00a0 Kazarian insulted Honor No More and said he hoped they were ready to fight.\u00a0 Aldis said they all take pride in their work and they appreciated the opportunity given to them by Impact.\u00a0 They wouldn&#8217;t reveal the fifth person on their team.\u00a0 Aldis said there were a lot of applicants, but when they saw this name, it was a no-brainer.<\/p>\n<p>-A taped promo from Sting\u00a0aired.\u00a0 He talked about Jeff Jarrett calling him and he decided to come back.\u00a0 He talked about some of his favorite memories, including Joker Sting, Abyss, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, and Samoa Joe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) THE INFLUENCE (Madison Rayne &amp; Tenille Dashwood) (c) vs. ROSEMARY &amp; TAYA VALKYRIE &#8211; Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Title match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rayne and Taya started the match.\u00a0 Rosemary bit Rayne.\u00a0 Taya chopped Tenille.\u00a0 Tenille knocked Rosemary off the apron.\u00a0 Taya got the advantage on Tenille.\u00a0 Madison threw Rosemary into the apron.\u00a0 Tenille stomped Rosemary. The Influence kept the advantage on Rosemary.\u00a0 Rosemary gave Tenille a back suplex.<\/p>\n<p>Taya and Rayne tagged in and fought.\u00a0 Taya took on the Influence by herself.\u00a0 Taya got a two count after a Blue Thunder Bomb on Rayne.\u00a0 Rosemary gave Rayne an exploder suplex.\u00a0 Tenille blocked Rosemary&#8217;s spear attempt on Rayne.\u00a0 All four wrestlers fought in the ring.\u00a0 Rosemary and Taya gave the Influence a double spear but only got a two count.<\/p>\n<p>Tenille gave Taya a neckbreaker in the ropes.\u00a0 The Influence gave Rosemary the Collab.\u00a0 Taya threw Tenille out of the ring.\u00a0 Rosemary rose up and scared Rayne.\u00a0 Taya gave Rayne a knee and Rosemary got the pin for the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Rosemary &amp; Monster&#8217;s Ball match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moose was released from his room and he seemed disoriented.\u00a0 Sami was released from his room.\u00a0 He stumbled out, laughed, and said &#8220;That was easy!&#8221;.\u00a0 Moose did his ring entrance, but Sami attacked him during it.\u00a0 They fought at ringside.\u00a0 Hannifan said it was Sami&#8217;s first match since September of 2021.\u00a0 Sami hit Moose with two metal trays and a trash can lid.<\/p>\n<p>Moose punched Sami on the apron.\u00a0 Sami bled from the forehead.\u00a0 Moose slammed Sami on the apron.\u00a0 Moose slammed Sami through a table at ringside.\u00a0 The action finally got in the ring.\u00a0 Moose tried to hit Sami&#8217;s leg with a chair, but Sami moved and hit Moose with a chair.\u00a0 Moose threw a chair at Sami.<\/p>\n<p>Sami threw a trash can over Moose&#8217;s head.\u00a0 Sami hit the can with a chair.\u00a0 Moose was upside down in the trash can.\u00a0 Sami pulled a door with barbed wire from under the ring and set it in the corner.\u00a0 Moose tried to climb the ropes, but slipped.\u00a0 Moose climbed back up, but Sami pushed him off into the timekeeper&#8217;s table.<\/p>\n<p>Sami poured out a bag of thumbtacks in the ring.\u00a0 Moose gave Sami a Sky High into the tacks and got a two count.\u00a0 Moose picked thumb tacks out of his butt.\u00a0 Moose dragged Sami through the tacks.\u00a0 Sami gave Moose a Death Valley Driver through the barbed wire door and got a two count.\u00a0 Fans chanted &#8220;Death Machine&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Moose and Sami traded trash can shots to the head.\u00a0 They traded strikes.\u00a0 Sami gave Moose a piledriver, but Moose kicked out at two.\u00a0 Sami went for another one, but Moose gave him a low blow.\u00a0 Sami kicked Moose, then powerbombed him into an upside down trash can.\u00a0 Sami gave Moose another piledriver, but Moose kicked out at one and stood up.<\/p>\n<p>Fans chanted for Moose.\u00a0 Sami hit Moose with a barbed wire bat, followed by another piledriver and got the pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Sami Callihan in 14:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.&#8217;s Take: An excellent brawl.\u00a0 A lot of the action was just brutal.\u00a0 Solid comeback match for Sami.\u00a0 If they want to wrap up this feud, this was a good way to end it).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Video package on the Briscoe Brothers vs. Good Brothers feud.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) MARK &amp; JAY BRISCOE (c) vs. THE GOOD BROTHERS (Doc Gallows &amp; Karl Anderson) &#8211; Impact Wrestling Tag Team Title match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both teams brawled at the start.\u00a0 The Briscoes got the best of it and did a double dive to the outside on the Good Brothers.\u00a0 Mark gave Doc an elbow drop from the apron.\u00a0 Jay slammed Anderson on the entrance stage.\u00a0 Jay and Doc fought at ringside.\u00a0 Mark and Anderson fought on the other side.<\/p>\n<p>Mark launched himself from a chair to do a dive to the outside.\u00a0 In the ring, Mark booted Anderson.\u00a0 Anderson threw Jay into a chair, but the referee didn&#8217;t see it.\u00a0 Doc punched Jay.\u00a0 Anderson put Jay in a chinlock.\u00a0 Jay gave Anderson a neckbreaker.\u00a0 Mark tagged in and fought both Good Brothers.\u00a0 Mark slammed Anderson from the top rope and got a two count.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson gave Mark a spinebuster and got a two count.\u00a0 Jay broke up the Magic Killer on Mark.\u00a0 Mark and Anderson traded punches.\u00a0 The Briscoes double teamed Anderson.\u00a0 Jay gave Anderson a neckbreaker.\u00a0 Mark got a two count on Anderson.\u00a0 Doc threw Jay into a Gun Stun from Anderson.\u00a0 Jay fought both Good Brothers.\u00a0 The Good Brothers gave Jay the Magic Killer and Anderson pinned Jay for the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: The Good Brothers in 11:00 to win the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Titles.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.&#8217;s Take: The Briscoes are such high energy and made this a good match.\u00a0 The Good Brothers held up their end too.\u00a0 I was really surprised by the title change. Perhaps this signals that the Good Brothers are staying around).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-The Good Brothers and Briscoes had a staredown that was interrupted by the ring entrance of America&#8217;s Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris).\u00a0 Fans chanted &#8220;Holy Shit&#8221;.\u00a0 Storm said they were looking at this match and said those guys are just like us &#8212; they like fighting and drinking.\u00a0 He said it was time to do some drinking.\u00a0 Harris took a bottled water and Storm said that everyone needs a designated driver.\u00a0 AMW passed beers to both teams.\u00a0 Storm said &#8220;Sorry about your damn luck&#8221; to Impact&#8217;s doubters and haters.<\/p>\n<p>-Hannifan pitched to a tribute video to Mike Tenay and Don West.\u00a0 Afterwards, Rehwoldt got emotional.\u00a0 Hannifan pitched to Don West&#8217;s Go Fund Me.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package on the Impact vs. Honor No More feud.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) IMPACT ORIGINALS (Chris Sabin &amp; Alex Shelley &amp; Frankie Kazarian &amp; Nick Aldis &amp;\u00a0 ) vs. HONOR NO MORE (Eddie Edwards &amp; Matt Taven &amp; Mike Bennett &amp; PCO &amp; Vincent w\/Maria Kanellis)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Christy Hemme was introduced and did the ring introductions.\u00a0 She brought out Scott D&#8217;Amore.\u00a0 He was in this Team Canada jersey and waved a Canadian flag on a hockey stick.\u00a0 He joined the announce team at ringside.\u00a0 Kazarian kissed his wife Tracy Brooks at ringside.\u00a0 Their son\u00a0Rebel and Earl Hebner were next to her.\u00a0 The announce team offered condolences on the passing of Dave Hebner.<\/p>\n<p>Dixie Carter walked to the entrance stage.\u00a0 She said it was surreal to be there.\u00a0 She said they wouldn&#8217;t have been around for 20 years without the fans.\u00a0 She announced the fifth member of the Impact Originals: Davey Richards.\u00a0 Fans cheered for Davey.\u00a0 The teams squared off, then started fighting at the bell.\u00a0 The Guns double teamed Taven.<\/p>\n<p>Bennett gave Sabin a brainbuster.\u00a0 Bennett chopped Aldis.\u00a0 Aldis suplexed Bennett.\u00a0 Kaz and Vincent brawled.\u00a0 Eddie and Davey squared off.\u00a0 Eddie quickly tagged out to Taven.\u00a0 The Impact team did a four-on-one on Taven.\u00a0 The Guns double teamed Bennett.\u00a0 Team Impact cleared the ring.\u00a0 Fans chanted &#8220;TNA&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Honor No More took turns doing moves on Shelley.\u00a0 HNM\u00a0had the advantage on Shelley.\u00a0 Hannifan offered condolences to the family of Tim White.\u00a0 PCO missed the senton on Shelley on the apron.\u00a0 Shelley made a comeback on HNM.\u00a0 Kaz made the hot tag.\u00a0 Kaz did a cutter on Vincent, but the pin attempt was broken up.<\/p>\n<p>Aldis cleaned house on HNM.\u00a0 Both teams traded moves one after another.\u00a0 The Guns double teamed Eddie.\u00a0 Sabin dove on Benett on the floor.\u00a0 Taven dove on the pile.\u00a0 Eddie and Davey squared off in the ring.\u00a0 They traded hard kicks and chops.\u00a0 Davey put Eddie in a leglock and put\u00a0Eddie in an ankle lock at the same time.\u00a0 There was chaos in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>PCO gave Aldis a DDT.\u00a0 Vincent did a dive on Aldis.\u00a0 PCO missed a moonsault.\u00a0 Davey gave PCO a double stomp and PCO kicked out.\u00a0 Maria got on the ring apron.\u00a0 Traci Brooks ran in and clotheslined Maria at ringside.\u00a0 PCO dragged Tracy into the ring.\u00a0 Kaz dropkicked PCO and got Tracy out of the ring.\u00a0 Fans chanted for Tracy.<\/p>\n<p>Kaz gave PCO a flux capacitor.\u00a0 Kenny King ran in, but he was followed by D-Lo Brown, who gave King the Sky High.\u00a0 Earl Hebner checked on referee Brian Hebner at ringside.\u00a0 D-Lo did a splash on King to a big ovation.\u00a0 The Guns double teamed PCO.\u00a0 The Guns got the advantage on Taven and Bennett.\u00a0 Earl Hebner took off his Slammiversary shirt to reveal a referee shirt.\u00a0 The Original got the pin for the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: The Impact Originals in 19:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.&#8217;s Take: A really fun match with a cool ending.\u00a0 It was good to see favorites such as D-Lo Brown, Tracy Brooks, and Earl Hebner return.\u00a0 Davey Richards was a good choice for the last slot on the Impact Originals team).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-A.J. Styles did a taped promo and wished Impact a happy anniversary.\u00a0 He talked about wrestling Jerry Lynn, Lo Ki, Jeff Jarrett, and Raven.\u00a0 He said the match that changed everything was him against Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels.\u00a0 He said he was voted as the most Impactful X Division wrestler and Male wrestlers by the fans.\u00a0 He thanked the fans and WWE for allowing him to do this.\u00a0 He said &#8220;here&#8217;s to the next twenty years&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package on the wrestlers in the Queen of the Mountain match.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(6) TASHA STEELZ (w\/Savannah Evans) (c) vs. MIA YIM vs. JORDYNNE GRACE vs. CHELSEA GREEN vs. DEONNA PURRAZZO &#8211; Queen of the Mountain \/ Impact Wrestling Knockouts Title Match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A wrestler becomes eligible to win after getting a pin or submission.\u00a0 The wrestler who is pinned or submitted spends two minutes in the penalty box.\u00a0 The winner has to hang the belt from the top.\u00a0 Mickie James was the special referee.<\/p>\n<p>Tasha and Evans set up tables at ringside while everyone else fought in the ring.\u00a0 Mia did a dive on Tasha and Evans.\u00a0 Chelsea dove on the pile at ringside, followed by Deonna doing a dive from the top rope.\u00a0 Chelsea pinned Tasha, which made Chelsea eligible to win now.\u00a0 Tasha went to the penalty box.\u00a0 Evans blocked it, but Mickie threw Tasha into Evans and locked them in the cage.<\/p>\n<p>When Tasha&#8217;s time was up, she ran wild on everyone.\u00a0 Mickie threw Evans out of the match.\u00a0 Mia pinned Chelsea, sending Chelsea to the box.\u00a0 Chelsea kicked the door, sending Mickie down. Mia got the belt and climbed the ladder.\u00a0 Deonna fought with her.\u00a0 Tasha gave Mia a cutter from the top rope, knocking Mia off the ladder.<\/p>\n<p>Deonna put Grace in an armbar, then put Tasha in one.\u00a0 Tasha tapped to the armbar.\u00a0 Chelsea stomped Mia into the bottom turnbuckle.\u00a0 Chelsea tripped Tasha into the ladder.\u00a0 Mia dropkicked Chelsea from the top of the box into the ladder.\u00a0 Mia walked up the ladder and dove on Grace and Deonna.\u00a0 Mia pinned Grace at ringside.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea tried to climb the ladder but Mickie pulled her off and they brawled.\u00a0 Mia climbed the ladder but was stopped by Deonna.\u00a0 Chelsea drove Tasha into\u00a0the ladder.\u00a0 Chelsea and Deonna climbed opposite sides of the ladder.\u00a0 Mia knocked over the ladder, sending them crashing through the tables at ringside.\u00a0 Tasha and Grace pinned Mia.\u00a0 Tasha and Grace brawled.<\/p>\n<p>Tasha gave Grace a neckbreaker.\u00a0 Tasha climbed the ladder but Grace gave her the muscle buster.\u00a0 Grace climbed the ladder and hooked the title at the top to win the match.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Jordynne Grace in 19:00 to win the Knockouts Title.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.&#8217;s Take:\u00a0 The gimmick was cute and a throwback to the old TNA days, but may have hindered the match.\u00a0 With that said, the wrestlers made it work and it was a good, physical match.\u00a0 It was a good time to change the title and Grace will make a great centerpiece of the division).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Gia Miller introduced Goldylocks\u00a0to interview Gail Kim backstage.\u00a0 Gail thanked the fans for naming her as the most Impactful Knockout.\u00a0 Gail congratulated Jordynne Grace for winning the title.\u00a0 Gail and Goldylocks\u00a0hugged.<\/p>\n<p>-Hannifan and Rehwoldt plugged Against All Odds on July 1st and Bound for Glory in October.<\/p>\n<p>-Video package on Josh Alexander and Eric Young.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(7) JOSH ALEXANDER (c) vs. ERIC YOUNG (w\/Joe Doering &amp; Deaner) &#8211; Impact Wrestling World Title match<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dave Penzer did the in-ring introductions.\u00a0 Alexander&#8217;s wife and son were shown at ringside.\u00a0 The match started slowly.\u00a0 Both wrestlers missed moonsaults.\u00a0 They clotheslined each other then traded punches and chops.\u00a0 Alexander gave Eric the facewash in the corner as a tribute to Samoa Joe, as the announcers explained.\u00a0 The fans chanted &#8220;Walking Weapon&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Deaner set up a table at ringside.\u00a0 Eric threw Alexander into the corner.\u00a0 Eric gave Alexander an elbow drop from the top rope and got a two count.\u00a0 Alexander suplexed Eric and powerbombed him.\u00a0 Alexander knocked Deaner off the apron, then went after Doering.\u00a0 Alexander gave Eric a crossbody block in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Eric gave Alexander the Stroke as a tribute to Jeff Jarrett.\u00a0 Alexander put Eric in an ankle lock, but Eric kicked him off.\u00a0 Eric gave Alexander a Black Hole Slam, as a tribute to Abyss.\u00a0 Fans chanted &#8220;This is wrestling!&#8221;.\u00a0 Alexander gave Eric the Best Moonsault Ever, a tribute to Christopher Daniels.\u00a0 Alexander gave Eric a Styles Clash.<\/p>\n<p>Deaner threw yellow powder into referee Brian Heber&#8217;s eyes.\u00a0 Alexander fought off Doering and Eric.\u00a0 Alexander gave Doering an Olympic Slam from the apron through a table on the floor.\u00a0 Fans chanted &#8220;This is awesome!&#8221;\u00a0 Deaner had the flagpole.\u00a0 Alexander pulled out the Canadian flag hockey stick and hit Deaner with it.\u00a0 Eric hit Alexander with a guitar for a two count.<\/p>\n<p>Eric pulled the ring mat and the foam padding back, exposing the boards under the ring.\u00a0 Eric gave Alexander a piledriver on the boards, but only got a two count.\u00a0 Alexander got Eric in an ankle lock.\u00a0 Alexander gave Eric a Rock Bottom on the boards, followed by a C-4 Spike and got the pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Josh Alexander in 18:00.<\/p>\n<p><em>(D.L.&#8217;s Take: A really good main event and the callbacks to the legendary finishers was a nice touch.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t really expect Eric to win, but there was still a bit of drama to the match).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>FINAL THOUGHTS: <\/strong>Lots of good action and a newsworthy night with four title changes.\u00a0 Fans looking for nostalgia were satisfied with appearances from Davey Richards, Earl Hebner, Tracy Brooks, Christy Hemme, D-Lo Brown, Goldylocks, Scott Hudson, Dixie Carter, and America&#8217;s Most Wanted.\u00a0 \u00a0The taped promos were fun too with big names like Sting, Kurt Angle, and A.J.
