Operating income and Adjusted OIBDA1 increased as well.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.wwe.com\/news\/company-news\/2022\/08-16-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The company also reported<\/a> that each PLE in Q2 was the most-viewed in history with large growth in viewership over prior year. Those events were <em>WrestleMania<\/em>,\u00a0<em>WrestleMania Backlash\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Hell in a Cell, which saw <\/em>year-over-year increases of 60%, 49% and 45%, respectively, in domestic unique viewership on Peacock.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe generated strong financial results in the quarter, highlighted by record revenue and Adjusted OIBDA for a second quarter,\u201d said Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan, WWE co-Chief Executive Officers. \u201cWe continued to effectively execute our strategy, including staging a record-setting\u00a0<em>WrestleMania\u00a0<\/em>in early April.\u00a0<em>WrestleMania<\/em>, as well as our other premium live events (\u201cPLEs\u201d) including\u00a0<em>WrestleMania Backlash<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Hell in a Cell<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Money in the Bank\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>SummerSlam\u00a0<\/em>all delivered record viewership for their respective events.
