Specifically,\u00a0fans\u00a0deciding\u00a0to make that PPV-like purchase\/trial subscription to WWE Network late in the game.<\/p>\n<p>Barrios said WWE noticed a big uptick in Network trial subs in the days leading up to WM32,\u00a0as part of the old system mentality of deciding whether to order a PPV.<\/p>\n<p>WWE&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.snl.com\/Cache\/1001209012.PDF?Y=&amp;O=PDF&amp;D=&amp;fid=1001209012&amp;T=&amp;iid=4121687\" target=\"_blank\">reported numbers indicate<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>First Quarter 2016 Conclusion (March 31)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1.469 million total paid and trial subscribers\n<ul>\n<li>1.357 million paid subscribers<\/li>\n<li>112,000 trial subscribers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Post-WM32 (April 4 &#8211; a few\u00a0days later)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1.824 million total paid and trial subscribers (increase of 355,000\/25%)\n<ul>\n<li>1.454 million paid subscribers (increase of 97,000\/7.1% increase)<\/li>\n<li>370,000 trial subscribers (increase of 258,000\/230% increase)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The number of trial subscribers is subject to variance with an unknown number of March 31 trial subscribers being rolled into April 4 paid, but WWE added a net total of\u00a0258,000 free trial activations\u00a0from Mar. 31 to Apr. 4.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; There is also a domestic and international consideration&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>First Quarter 2016 Conclusion (March 31)<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2118819243\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>1.469 million total paid and trial subscribers\n<ul>\n<li>1.107 million domestic (75% of total)<\/li>\n<li>362,000 international (25% of total)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Post-WM32 (April 4 &#8211; a few days later)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1.824 million total paid and trial subscribers\n<ul>\n<li>1.390 million domestic (76% of total)<\/li>\n<li>434,000 international (24% of total)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>WWE added more domestic trial subscriptions for WrestleMania than internationally. It appears that a preponderance of U.S. viewers who have the &#8220;old PPV system&#8221; behavior of\u00a0ordering one or two PPVs per year took\u00a0advantage of the\u00a0free trial or re-activated a lapsed subscription.<\/p>\n<p>WWE noted that &#8220;free trial subscribers refer to WWE Network customers who received a free trial upon activating network service, and were still within their promotion period as of the date reported.
