The issue boiled over at the beginning of May and Ryback has not been part of WWE over the past month.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2016\/05\/02\/ryback-miss-1-contender-battle-royal-raw\/\" target=\"_blank\">At the May 2 WWE Raw taping<\/a>, there was a dispute that led to Ryback leaving Raw TV and missing a battle royal that he was advertised for during the show.<\/p>\n<p>One aspect of the dispute centers on\u00a0various trademarks, as first reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prowrestlingsheet.com\/ryback-big-guy-trademark-battle\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pro Wrestling Sheet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The latest trademark dispute is over the term &#8220;The Big Guy.&#8221; Earlier this year, Ryback and WWE filed separately for the same &#8220;Feed Me More&#8221; trademark.<\/p>\n<p>The following\u00a0are the records reported\u00a0at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timeline of Events &#8211; &#8220;The Big Guy&#8221; trademark<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-3669992839\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>&#8211; July 9, 2015: Ryback (Ryan Reeves of Las Vegas) filed for the trademark for merchandising purposes of &#8220;clothing, namely, t-shirts, hats, athletic pants, baby bibs, and wristbands.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:\u00a0<\/strong>This trademark for merchandising purposes is now listed as dead as of\u00a0April 21.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; October 29, 2015: Reeves\u00a0filed for the trademark for his persona, specifically &#8220;conducting entertainment exhibitions in the nature of performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment information; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a sports celebrity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; January 4, 2016: WWE filed for the same trademark for entertainment services, namely &#8220;wrestling exhibitions and performances by professional wrestlers and entertainers rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service,&#8221; etc.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; May 3, 2016: After leaving Raw TV on May 2,\u00a0Reeves\u00a0re-filed on Tuesday, May 3 claiming ownership of the\u00a0persona trademark\u00a0from October 2015.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timeline of Events &#8211; &#8220;Feed Me More&#8221; trademark<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; July 27, 2015: Reeves filed for the trademark for merchandising purposes of &#8220;Clothing, namely, shirts, athletic pants, tank tops, shorts, and cloth bibs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; July 4, 2016: On the same day WWE filed for &#8220;The Big Guy&#8221; persona trademark, WWE filed for the &#8220;Feed Me More&#8221; persona trademark. The address of the LLC is listed as a P.O. Box number in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>In previous filings, Ryback filed under his individual name of Ryan Reeves, using the same P.O. Box in Las Vegas.
