{"id":18881,"date":"2016-05-10T14:30:09","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T19:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/?p=18881"},"modified":"2016-05-15T02:03:50","modified_gmt":"2016-05-15T07:03:50","slug":"triple-h-re-signs-wwe-new-booking-contract-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2016\/05\/10\/triple-h-re-signs-wwe-new-booking-contract-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Triple H re-signs with WWE, new booking contract released"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pwtor-2602589187\" class=\"pwtor-before-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><hr \/><b>SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)... <\/b>\r\n\r\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/widget.spreaker.com\/player?show_id=3076978&theme=light&playlist=false&playlist-continuous=false&autoplay=false&live-autoplay=false&chapters-image=true&episode_image_position=right&hide-logo=false&hide-likes=false&hide-comments=false&hide-sharing=false&hide-download=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"140px\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\r\n<hr \/><\/div><p>As expected, WWE executive\/wrestler Triple H has re-signed with WWE in his role as a wrestler.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter&#8217;s previous wrestling deal expired on March 30 &#8211; the week before WrestleMania &#8211; and he officially re-signed on Monday (May 9).<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;amended and restated booking contract&#8221; notes that Hunter&#8217;s agreement has been extended for an additional three years.<\/p>\n<p>Going forward, the contract will &#8220;extend on a year-to-year basis unless either party terminates it by written notice to the other party at least ninety (90) days prior to the then effective end of the Term.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was made between WWE, Triple H, and Mark Carrano, the VP of Talent Relations.<\/p>\n<p>WWE disclosed the new booking contract because of Hunter&#8217;s executive status and new appointment to the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>This follows WWE <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2016\/03\/04\/sec-filing-triple-hs-contract-status-and-2015-pay-as-talent-executive\/\">releasing details on Hunter&#8217;s wrestling status<\/a> in early March when they announced details of the <a href=\"http:\/\/ir.corporate.wwe.com\/Cache\/c33174633.html\" target=\"_blank\">Annual Shareholders Meeting<\/a>.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2245957687\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>According to the original contract, Hunter is entitled to a $1.0 million downside guarantee. WWE noted that\u00a0Hunter \u201cout-earned this minimum guarantee\u201d over the \u201cpast several years\u201d through his TV wrestling role and merchandise sales.<\/p>\n<p>WWE added in March: \u201cThe agreement currently runs until March 30, 2016, and we contemplate extending this agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional three years after its current term ends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, Hunter earned a total of $1.713 million as a WWE talent, up from $1.647 million in 2014, but down from $1.868 million in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter also earns salary as a WWE executive.
