He thanked the person who didn’t believe in him: Ethan Page. He said Page poured gasoline on him and unleashed a demon. He said if you push him, he pushes back, and he’s no Boy Scout or angel. He said “Can you hear me now?”, cheekily referring to his deafness, and held up the belt with a smile.

Ethan Page’s music played and he said it was time for a rematch, because he had a bad night, but he had a million great nights. He said he won a lot of championships and broke records as North American Champion, and if anyone deserved a rematch, it’s the guy who carried the brand for two years. They both wanted the match, but Rob Stone walked out and tried to slow them down and get in wrestling gear. Page said he wanted it now, and Stone said to get a referee out here and do it.

(1) MYLES BORNE (c) vs. ETHAN PAGE – NXT North American Championship

They’re wrestling in suits. They did remove the coats, at least. Borne punched Page when his glasses were still on. They spilled outside with Borne’s dress shirt falling off of him, and Borne beat down Page on the announce table and threw his shirt down at him as the match went to split-screen. [c]

The show came back, but production was asleep at the wheel and it was still in split-screen, just with both screens being the same. It went on like that for about thirty seconds. After a back-and-forth segment, Borne took control with some ground & pound. Page tried to use his belt, and it was tossed away, but he had a belt buckle he hit Borne with for a long two count. Borne caught Page with an ankle lock. Borne struck Page with a shoe when the ref was tossing something aside, hit Borne Again, and scored the pin.

WINNER: Myles Borne at 7:02.

(Wells’s Analysis: Strange visuals as they fought in their dress clothes, and at the end, Page was down to an open shirt, boxer briefs and his pants stuck around one ankle. We’re long past the point of perfunctory rematches, but I’m glad they figured out a way to do one with Page, who had such an impressive reign that it would stand out if he hadn’t)

-Sarah Schreiber tried to get a word with Zaria about why she did what she did last week, but Zaria said i you have to ask, you’ll never know. DarkState showed up and muscled their way in, angry about Tony D’Angelo’s involvement last week. After they all went in, D’Angelo himself pulled up, took a crowbar out of his trunk and walked out of the shot.

-Blake Monroe walked through the back ahead of the next segment. [c]

-Monroe had a mic. She said when Jaida Parker interrupted her during her big return, she expected to feel anger. She said she expect to feel rage when she cost her the Speed match. She said she felt reassurance, though, because Jaida Parker needs Blake Monroe. She said all she did was confirm her value, because you don’t interrupt someone doesn’t matter. She said she’s the conversation, the standard. She said people obsess over her and they love to hate her more than they hate Jaida. There were a couple of lonely guys yelling out agreement with literally everything she said; there was a guy like that when I saw her live a few months ago and it was hard to watch.

Jaida Parker did indeed show up, and she acknowledged the “Miss Parker” chant. She said what she needs to do is slap the taste out of Monroe’s mouth. She said she comes out here and tries to convince everyone here she matters. She said the glamour comes from insecurity, and her whole life she’s been a supporting character desperate for a starring role. She said she’d show Monroe how soft she really is. She said Monroe doesn’t believe what comes out of her mouth, and once you strip away all the veneer, you’re left with a “mediocre bitch.” They came to blows and Parker got the better of it. I assume she ends up losing, though, since she’s the best wrestler on the brand who ends up losing almost all her blowoff matches.

-Ricky Saints, Ethan Page and the Vanity Project talked in the locker room. Saints told Jackson Drake to focus on his Evolve Championship defense against Cappuccino Jones tomorrow. He then gave a disingenuous pep talk to the sullen Page, and said he had to leave to prepare for a spotlight. Page looked at Saints as he left, knowing he was full of it.

-The women in the Speed Tournament match coming up walked through the back. [c]

-Eli Knight, Sean Legacy, and Elio LeFleur talked in the locker room. Legacy admitted his match with Keanu Carver was a tough night at the office. Jasper Troy showed up and said he wanted his title back. Josh Briggs slipped in for the increasingly rare cameo and said they were right, and Troy isn’t the best big man around here anymore. After Briggs left, Troy said he’d beat Knight and Legacy in a triple threat next week and then take his Speed Title back. Neat that he has the power of the book.

(2) WREN SINCLAIR (w/Kendal Grey) vs. NIKKITA LYONS – Speed Tournament match

Quick rollup by Lyons for one. Lyons strung together a few kicks, but ten ate one to the midsection. Lyons tossed away a dropkicking Sinclair and covered for one. Sinclair nailed a big palm strike and went for some ground & pound. Rollup by Sinclair for two. Lyons hit a right and a quick suplex for two. They exchanged some shots and Sinclair got the best of it, licking her hands for some big palm strikes. Leaping lariat by Sinclair. Action went to the apron, where Lyons got put on the apron and then dropkicked off of it. Sinclair rolled her in and then ate a roundhouse kick for a long two. Sinclair trapped Lyons in the Final Wrench, an armbar submission, and got the tap.

WINNER: Wren Sinclair at 2:55.

(Wells’s Analysis: Sinclair faces Thea Hail next week to go on to face Fallon Henley. Wren looked pretty sharp, as is normal, and Lyons was mistake-free, which is less normal. I’m surprised they used her in this tournament just to job her out, but I suppose they want fresh faces for the Speed Tournament.)

-Joe Hendry and Myles Borne talked backstage. Hendry put his foot in his mouth by accidentally making a comment that sounded like a smack at Borne’s deafness. Borne played like he was annoyed, but he was just kidding and said Hendry’s not the only one with a sense of humor around here. [c]

-In a sponsored segment, Kelani Jordan was visiting Shayna Baszler – who didn’t look amused – to train for her Underground match. Baszler put over Lola Vice as no joke as she had Jordan do some jumping rope, then work on reversals. Baszler showed Jordan why gymnastics stuff wouldn’t work, but Jordan caught Baszler with a couple of shots in the sparring session to set her up as a potential threat in a match that Vice has never lost.

-Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley sat in low light with Paxley’s creepy dollhouse sitting between them. Dame, as usual, tried to break down Paxley emotionally and call her unlovable. She said she’s a shell of herself without Dame, and said it’s honestly pathetic. She said Paxley hasn’t changed and is incapable of being fixed. Paxley said nothing lasts forever, and the pain and emotional toll goes away. She said Dame will understand at Vengeance Day that she’s not to be played with. Paxley left the blond Dame-clone Barbie with Dame, who ripped its head off and knocked over the dollhouse.

(3) HANK WALKER & TANK LEDGER & SHILOH HILL vs. THE VANITY PROJECT (Jackson Drake & Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) – Six-man tag team match

The heels jumped the faces during their entrance and the (not yet an official) match went to split-screen. [c]

[HOUR TWO]

The bell sounded sometime during the break after a segment with security pulling them apart, but I didn’t catch the moment. Tank was playing early face-in-peril, and Drake gyrated to boos. Hank made the tag and blocked Drake for two. Hill tagged in and hit a block along with Hank. Hill laughed off a palm strike and hit another block. Drake got control long enough to take Hill to the heel corner, where Baylor tagged in and the three worked over Hank. Keanu Carver showed up at the announce table out of nowhere and told the announcers to keep his name out of their mouths. Inside, the faces took control and hit body slams on all three heels in stereo. Baylor tagged in but Hank didn’t see it, so he took control with a leg drop. Hank played face-in-peril for a while next until he could tag Tank, who threw a big side slam on Smokes. Smokes laid in a chop and tagged Drake, but Tank exploded out of a corner with a lariat for both. Tank knocked the heads of the illegal men together but Drake took the announcer’s focus and the others trapped Tank in the steps against the apron and Drake dropkicked him in the back of the head. The match went to commercial again, this time with no split-screen. [c]

Tank made a hot tag after fighting off all three of VP. Hill tagged in and dominated Baylor & Smokes. He tossed his fake tooth to fire up and dumped an interfering Drake, but Baylor & Smokes had a falling-cover moment like before, but Hill kicked out at two. Hank tagged in and Drake put him down with a Death Valley Driver. It broke down completely as everyone got involved for a bit. Hank hit a Bossman Slam on Drake. Tank tagged in and they pancaked Drake. Hank & Tank neutralized the tag guys as Hill hit his finisher on Drake.

WINNERS: Shiloh Hill & Hank & Tank in about 14 minutes.

As the faces celebrated, Blake Monroe showed up on the announce table and said Jaida brought the Hell out of her, and this will end this Saturday in a Street Fight. Parker came out to brawl again, but Hank, Tank, Shiloh and a ref held the two women apart. [c]

(Wells’s Analysis: It was messy with a lot of interference and spots with everyone involved, and the opening bell happened while the match was in commercial split-screen, so there was a lot to dislike here. On the upside, everyone is so committed to their character that it was fun anyway)

-Earlier today, a guy named Dr. Martin warned Lola Vice about the fracture in her hand, and said taking this match could result in permanent disfigurement. She said she simply couldn’t step away right now and had to do this. He made her promise to come back for a check-in after the match.

-Dion Lennox ran to the ring and called out Tony D’Angelo (Tony left a couple of DarkState members lying in a very quick segment I forgot to type). D’Angelo was up in the audience and he said they all ruined his life last week, and killed the man he used to be. He said it’s poetic that Saturday is Vengeance Day, and he’ll make his promise by taking out Lennox. Lennox said he’s fighting for four and this Tony D’Angelo-sized speedbump won’t slow him down. He said D better be ready in the parking lot because it’s on sight. D said he’ll be ready to beat his ass in the parking lot and drag him to the ring. He said then, one of the two reasons he came back will be complete.

-Sarah Schreiber was with Fatal Influence and said Jayne arguably escaped a big championship match last week when Zaria turned on Sol Ruca. Jayne said the only thing she wanted to escape was the drama between Ruca & Zaria.

-Fatal Influence headed to the ring for the championship match, so apparently, the Ricky Saints segment will be main event of the show. [c]

-Tavion Heights was talking to Charlie Dempsey. Myles Borne stepped up to them and thanked them for their part in his development. Afteer Borne left, Dempsey said he was a champion while they’re spinning their wheels. Heights was annoyed that he killed the vibe. Lexis King and the second-generation faction showed up and tried to mess with them and suggest Dempsey had a better way to go.

(4) JACY JAYNE (c) (w/Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) vs. ZARIA – NXT Women’s Championship match

Zaria made her entrance and Booker T said this was the Zaria he’dbeen waiting a long time for. Mike Rome handled formal introductions.

Jayne threw a big right as Zaria was already distracted by Fatal Influence at the bell. Zaria shoved Jayne to the corner and threw rights. Jayne hit a headscissor takedown and the two went to a couple of reversals on the mat. Jayne tried another headscissor but Zaria powered through. Zaria nailed a suplex and then a delayed suplex. Zaria missed in the corner but ended up hitting a lariat from the top to the apron. She did her deadlift choke with Jayne on the outside and held on until the count got close. On the outside, Reid pulled Jayne away from the steps so Zaria would charge into them. The match went to commercial. [c]

Zaria nailed a suplex, and both of them sold on the mat, so Jayne likely had control throughout the break. Zaria tossed Jayne around and hit a hard lariat for two. Fallon and Lainey fanned Jacy in the corner, amusingly. Zaria put a knee to Jayne’s jaw and hit a German suplex, then another. She ran right into a huge flash knee by Jayne for a long two. Jayne missed the Rolling Encore and Zaria hit a spear. Jayne ducked a lariat and hit the Rolling Encore. Both of them sold on the mat. Sol Ruca hit the ring, got past those outside, and hit a Sol Snatcher on both Jayne and Zaria. The ref threw it out. This was booed, of course. She nailed Reid with the belt and got cheered for that, at least.

NO CONTEST at 10:53.

(Wells’s Analysis: Why put Ruca in that position? Obviously she’s going to be part of this, but they gave us an intriguing match only for a babyface to get it tossed out? Ruca is probably close to bulletproof, but it’s an iffy choice to let them go this long before she ruined it. The match we got was pretty good as Jayne continues to be so good it’s hard to believe her first three years were her first three years)

-Ricky Saints walked through the back ahead of the Absolute Experience. [c]

-Vic recapped the night – specifically Borne beating Page as well as the Monroe-Parker brawl. He officially announced the Parker-Monroe Street Fight for Vengeance Day, as well as Dame-Paxley, Vice-Jordan in NXT Underground and D’Angelo-Knox.

-Sarah Schreiber talked to Robert Stone about the NXT Women’s matches and said he had to figure some stuff out. I don’t exactly know what he said because my feed totally blipped; not sure if it was local or happened everywhere.

-Ricky Saints entered for the Absolute Experience, which sounds like something that would start with more than seven minutes left in the show. Saints sat down on a stool in the ring where there was also a guitar. He asked if everyone saw him steal the show on Wild Cards last week. He said he was a true thespian. He grabbed his guitar and asked production to dim the lights. He played simple power chords between lines; he clearly can’t play. He sang “I believe in Ricky” to boos. He said “That’s what we do! We put our opponent’s face on the screen and make fun of him! That’s what you like!”

He said he needed a chair instead of the stool, and got it from a stagehand. He played some more basic chords and sang some tuneless stuff about Hendry’s poor fashion and went back to “I believe in Ricky.” He said “I don’t know if you heard me but I rhymed ‘shirt’ with ‘hurt’ and that came to me in a dream last night.”

He sang how you shouldn’t believe in Joe Hendry because he looks like Guy Fieri. He complained that he needed a new guitar. A stagehand held one out and Saints tried to take it, but the stagehand wouldn’t let go. The stagehand had a mask on. There’s something this company LOVES right now. It was Hendry, of course. The Vanity Project tried to attack, but Myles Borne made the save and the two babyface singles champs cleared the ring and held up their belts for a strong ending visual.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Short on matches, but long on hype for Saturday’s show. No triple threat has been announced for the Women’s Championship, but you’ve got to think one is coming. While there was a lot of content, it was very much straightforward go-home stuff, so we’ll see what we can come up with for PWT Talks NXT. I can’t decide whether the Ricky Saints segment was a trainwreck or a strong heel segment, but I think it was both (and the trainwreck part was intentional). NXT has had to reset with a lot of talent moving up lately, and the final visual of Borne and Hendry holding up their belts really punctuated that we’re in a slightly different era from before.

CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO OUR POST-SHOW PODCAST

THANK YOU FOR VISITING

NXT TV RESULTS MARCH 3, 2026 WINTER PARK, FLA.
