ROH star Michael Elgin will now be stepping in his place.<\/p>\n<p>Tanahashi appeared at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2016\/06\/03\/21632\/\">New Japan&#8217;s BOSJ show Friday in Tokyo<\/a> to announce that he cannot challenge Kenny Omega for the IWGP Intercontinental\u00a0Title at Dominion on June 19.<\/p>\n<p>Tanahashi said he injured his shoulder in May. (New Japan then did an injury write-off on the first night of the BOSJ tournament to allow Tanahashi to heal in hopes of making Dominion.)<\/p>\n<p>Tanahashi said doctors have disallowed him from competing against Omega, who now will face Elgin in the first-ever ladder match in New Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Bullet Club&#8217;s Omega and Elgin have been battling in\u00a0multi-man tag matches throughout the Super Jrs. tour.
