Matt won by pinning Spud following a shooting star press. I thought this was a really strong opener, which mixed some good comedy spots with some solid wrestling I was particularly impressed with Colt Cabana who was really entertaining and had the crowd in the palm of his hand.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Hero from CZW came through the crowd announcing he was there to ruin the show Colt Cabana came back out and chased him off.<\/p>\n<p>(2) Davey Richards defeated Jimmy Rave with Prince Nana. Rave hit a little girl in the head with a toilet roll before the match causing her to cry. I am pretty certain it was an accident the match itself was strong.<\/p>\n<p>(3) B.J. Whitmer defeated Claudio Castagnoli.<\/p>\n<p>After the match Chris Hero came from the crowd again attacking Whitmer. Colt Cabana came back out attacking Hero, Whitmer and Castagnoli fought all the way to the back, meanwhile Cabana got on the mic and challenged Hero to a match Hero headed up the ramp refusing the offer with prompted Cabana to go get him and chuck in the ring before ringing the bell himself<\/p>\n<p>(4) Colt Cabana defeated Chris Hero. This match blew me away the work of Go Shiozaki I personally thought was excellent. After Williams and Fleish won the match SUWA turned on Go Shiozaki hitting him with a kendo stick until Williams and Fleish attacked SUWA clearing him off before handshakes all round with Shiozaki and the Brits.<\/p>\n<p>Intermission: It was announced ROH would be back in England for two dates in March 2007.<\/p>\n<p>(6) Robbie Brookside defeated Chad Collyer. This match sucked the life out of the building the crowd fell silent except for the gang of kids in the balcony box.<\/p>\n<p>(7) ROH World Tag Team Champions Austin Aries &amp; Roderick Strong defeated The Briscoes to retain their titles. Awesome intense match the annoying kids in the balcony box where told by the crowd &#8220;past your bed time&#8221; after cheering for the Briscoes. After a endless steam of amazing moves, Austin Aries hit the 450 to pin Jay and retain the titles.<\/p>\n<p>(8) ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson defeated Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness via knockout to unify the titles. Danielson got the ring announcer to announce he was better than The Beatles before the match. During the match the Briscoes and several other wrestlers could be seen watching the action. Towards the end of the match Danielson rammed McGuinness head clean into the ring post four times busting him wide out before brawling into the crowd McGuinness just beat the count to return to the ring and had a brief comeback before the ref stopped the match with McGuinness in a submission hold. After the match Danielson said should he get past tomorrow&#8217;s title defense he will gladly give McGuinness a rematch in St. Paul, Minn.
