The crowd this week at Dynamite was cheering Omega and his &#8220;heel&#8221; turn when he put Ospreay through the table to end Dynamite. There are just too many people who aren&#8217;t going to boo Omega.<\/p>\n<p>The crowning moment of All In and Ospreay should be him taking down the dastardly heel in MJF at All In. I think it would just hit different. I totally get that Omega is on the 17th hole and this could be his last big main event, but you could have found a match that would have been a main event feel with someone else.<\/p>\n<p>You currently have wrestlers such as Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, and Kyle Fletcher in thrown-together matches over the last two weeks. I&#8217;d be just as hyped for Omega vs. Fletcher or Omega vs. Swerve as I am currently for this Omega vs. Ospreay match we are getting. I just firmly believe this should be MJF vs. Ospreay for this World Title.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>BEST PROMO<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay Sit-Down Interview \u2013 Dynamite 8\/19\/26<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When they showed Kenny with the fresh tan and that pink sport coat, I knew right away what kind of Kenny we were getting for that sit-down. I thought this was great from top to bottom and I&#8217;m glad they did this in a sit-down format and not during an in-ring segment.<\/p>\n<p>Kenny calling Ospreay a &#8220;flavor of the month&#8221; a minute into this sit-down was just great. I thought that this was Will Ospreay&#8217;s best speaking moment in AEW as well. He has always had great intensity and heart in his promos, but sometimes it can go a little over the top. A sit-down segment like this can help rein that in.<\/p>\n<p>I loved his line about how &#8220;Every time I&#8217;m put in the pressure cooker, I crumble.&#8221; Which really has been the story of Will Ospreay in AEW.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-1519734694\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>I also love him saying he&#8217;s going to beat Ospreay with &#8220;Pride and Honor&#8221; which is a shot at both the Don Callis Family and The Death Riders. I have thoroughly enjoyed Will Ospreay since he has returned from his neck surgery. Not saying that I didn&#8217;t enjoy him before, but I feel like this run since he&#8217;s been back has just been a joy to watch.<\/p>\n<p>I love that they took this rivalry and match into a different direction with this segment. I love Ospreay bringing up his history in New Japan and how, when he was given the ball to run in New Japan, he had to deal with COVID lockdowns and restrictions and was still able to persevere.<\/p>\n<p>I loved Kenny&#8217;s entire vibe throughout this, just playing a smarmy prick so well. I loved Omega bringing up the fact that the changes his diverticulitis caused to his body have forced him to become an even smarter wrestler and how he doesn&#8217;t think Ospreay has been able to get to that point yet since his neck surgery.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also not a big fan of bringing people&#8217;s kids into promos, but we know Ospreay&#8217;s history with his son, and he has brought him up before which I think makes it fair game for Kenny to bring him up. I cannot believe that he was out for a year and he comes back and is put right back with the Bang Bang Gang.<\/p>\n<p>To me, Jay White is one of the biggest wastes of talent that has walked through the door of AEW. I understand that he has had a lot of injury bad luck and has been in some high-profile rivalries, but whenever this guy shows up he delivers, whether it is in the ring or on the microphone. He has been saddled with the awful Bang Bang Gang gimmick for far too long and I am imploring Tony Khan to free this guy from it.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-3878195413\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>It is 2026; we do not need any Bullet Club adjacent crews or references running around anymore.<\/p>\n<p>As for the match, it was great and I thought that this should have been the finals of the Continental Cup. I have no interest &#8211; and I mean no interest &#8211; in Moxley vs. Kyle O&#8217;Reilly again or Moxley vs. Nigel McGuinness. I get it, he&#8217;s from England. This match should have been the final and it should have been a Jay White win.<\/p>\n<p>I think giving him a win over Moxley at All In would have been the right move here. Moxley doesn&#8217;t need this Continental Title and putting it on O&#8217;Reilly or McGuinness will feel flat and demean the value of the tournament and the title itself. I think too many times Tony Khan goes for the &#8220;moment&#8221; instead of a more logical choice, so if I was a betting man (I am), I would be betting Nigel McGuinness to win and get the pyro show at All In.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>THOUGHTS AND OBSERVATIONS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>I think I&#8217;m in on headband Will Ospreay.<\/li>\n<li>Fletcher saying &#8220;I trust Don Callis with all my heart&#8221; was great foreshadowing this week on Dynamite.<\/li>\n<li>It was also the Upset of the Century that Kyle Fletcher&#8217;s pants didn&#8217;t rip this week when he was fighting Takeshita. Those things were tiiiight.<\/li>\n<li>Here is my impression of a Brawling Birds promo&#8230; You talk, I talk, You talk, I talk.<\/li>\n<li>I liked the backstage promo that Mercedes Mone and Willow Nightingale had this week.
