The following is a report originally published here 20 years ago this week\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>WWE Raw house show<br \/>\nAugust 27, 2006<br \/>\nErie, Pa.<br \/>\nReport by Brandon Boyd, PWTorch.com correspondent<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>It was very good, but still missing a lot of people, like Kane, Randy Orton, and Shelton Benjamin. Anyway, here were the results.<\/p>\n<p>(1) &#8220;Hacksaw&#8221; Jim Duggan defeated Rob Conway. Really quite the boring match, and I found Hacksaw to be a very annoying person. He won by the way, but the match wasn&#8217;t anything to right home about.<\/p>\n<p>(2) Lita defeated Trish Stratus. I can&#8217;t complain about this match, it really wasn&#8217;t too bad. Lita won by using the ropes.<\/p>\n<p>(3) Highlanders defeated Spirit Squad. Two over the top gimmicks that I love. Can&#8217;t remember the ending, but it was a pretty good match.<\/p>\n<p>(4) Johnny Nitro defeated Carlito and Jeff Hardy. This match was awesome, and I loved every second of it. This was after intermission, Torrie shot T-shirts when Prudis came out. He berated the crowd, then Eugene came. Prudis is a big dude, but I&#8217;m not sure I like him.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-3984252126\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>(6) DX defeated Viscera &amp; Charlie Haas. It was announced this would be a three tag team gauntlet match to face DX. This was the first team. My grandpa isn&#8217;t a wrestling fan, but he cracked up at Viscera. DX was mega over.<\/p>\n<p>(7) DX defeated Cade &amp; Murdoch. Second team.<\/p>\n<p>(8) DX defeated Umaga &amp; AAE. Third team.<\/p>\n<p>(9) Edge (w\/LIta) defeated John Cena in a Last Man Standing Match. This kind of bummed me out, as it wasn&#8217;t the greatest match in the world. Edge won after Lita hit Cena over the head with the title.<\/p>\n<p>NOTES: Overall, it was a pretty good show, but could have been a lot better.<\/p>\n<p>BIGGEST BABYFACE POPS<br \/>\n1.
