The issue for many production workers is some are owed money directly by TNA and some from Aroluxe, which took over the production side of TNA&#8217;s operation.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of TNA being short on cash to air\u00a0a live PPV broadcast\u00a0and pay production workers\u00a0made for a tenuous situation throughout the week.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Broadhead, TNA&#8217;s CFO, wrote on his personal Facebook page (cited by PWInsider) that he spent the entire weekend trying to secure enough financial and logistical support to get the PPV on the air Sunday. It led to a stripped-down production set-up for the Slammiversary\u00a0event.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/jctorch\/status\/742145627937640454<\/p>\n<p>In addition, TNA executive\/&#8221;Smashing Pumpkins&#8221; lead singer Billy Corgan\u00a0reportedly provided a short-term influx of cash to make it through this week&#8217;s\u00a0tapings.<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen what TNA&#8217;s future is after this set of tapings. The company needs to secure\u00a0a long-term investment\u00a0to avoid these types of situations going forward\u00a0and to have\u00a0funds for Aroluxe to pay the production team, which includes many workers\u00a0who are now months behind on being paid.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-1832031948\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>PWTorch learned in April that Sinclair Broadcasting, the parent company of Ring of Honor, expressed interest in investing in TNA during a second set of\u00a0discussions.<\/p>\n<p>The company was not impressed by the initial offer earlier this year.
